Would bloody love an Evanilson 1-0 Bournemouth win here.
-
We did that with Isak and he wants to go for more. Surely someone like Ramos who's already won the lot, would be more inclined to have a crack at taking us to the top?
-
Same if we'd signed Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal.

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)
Optimistic Nut replied to Ronson333's topic in Football
He could probably do a job, I just think a year in The Championship where on paper he'd be one of the best midfielders in the league would do wonders for his confidence. I think he'd have the mindset when he came back that he could do that in our league. -

We'd need a loan signing ourselves who we'd be happy to have play 20+ games before we could let Miley go out. I'd personally not be against it, don't think a 35+ starts season would be the worst thing. Get him used to dominating games. -
Only if we're near the top. As long as we're not something daft like 6+ points off the top 6 after 6 games then I wouldn't worry.
-
He'll score goals but it'll be harder not to. I think any above average forward would get 15+ at one of the top 8 clubs.

I think Hall will miss out for Tino. -
Heffernan & McArthur let us down.
-
Schar & Burn have served us so well but I hope we get to see these as our first-choice pairing fairly early on.

Aston Villa vs. Newcastle United: 16/08/25 @ 12:30 (TNT Sport)

Guesstimating, but probably 2/3s of transfers in the PL involve players going in & out of the country. Just seems daft to cut that off 2 weeks earlier than the rest. It's worked absolutely fine for 20+ years since they changed it to a summer & January window? -
Kuol struggling against Gateshead Reserves doesn't bode well. Reckon we'll end up just cancelling his contract?

Someone like Rangers whose season started a week ago, but may get a Champions League windfall end of August, absolutely hamstrung. -

I like this idea, but a flaw is you have so many clubs in various UEFA qualifiers that they'd miss out because their budgets may be so different from the end of July to end of August. -

Not everything revolves around the Premier League as much as it tries. Self defeating having a window that's closed 2 weeks before the rest of Europe. -
Was thinking how the likes of these and Chelsea would handle pre-season. I thought they'd all be match fit so no pre-season training really needed, best thing would be 2-3 weeks complete rest then just normal training a week before the season starts?

Coincides with no further sign of Liverpool upping their bid for Isak.

Really, really want Mitrovic on a free now.

I think these are in for a rude awakening on Saturday. The likes of Bowen, Paqueta...even Wan-Bissaka, Soucek, Fullkrug, etc are so far above their level.

Let him go to Bayern, we'll take Kane.
