  1. That's ridiculous if that's true. Think we'd have walked away long before now if this was true though.
  2. Just a gut feeling, probably wrong. Just feel the perception in the media turned massively against him over the weekend, if not today, I think he'll start trying to rebuild bridges shortly.
  3. Often a pass makes a great goal (Willock to Isak), but that awareness from Wood to start making the run in anticipation that Anderson might get to the pass first made that. All Anderson needed to do was put the ball into an area. Brilliant stuff.
  4. Think most people have said he should only go on loan if we can get someone (likely a loan ourselves) to replace him going out. If there's noone suitable then he rightly stays, but if we can find someone for a year that'll let him go and get 35+ starts at the top of the Championship, surely you can see the logic?
  5. If he's still here and he's happy to give his all for the rest of the season, I wouldn't see an issue giving him £200k a week for the year then sell next summer. We can't go around all summer valuing him at £150m and knocking back bids, only to not be prepared to give him all we're capable of for a player of that value.
  6. I don't see it. Lazy, international football-centric and couldn't give a fuck for the most part, aye. Not his fault we stuck £100k a week in front of him and £16m to Real Madrid. He wanted to leave to play football for the 2006 World Cup, he wanted Liverpool but we blew them out the water.
  7. "One greedy bastard" is definitely a lazy chant like. Distin got it even though we refused to give him parity with other first-team regulars and Sir Bobby preferred Bramble. Owen got it but we forced his hand to join us by going ridiculously over what Liverpool offered. Pretty sure he'd have went to Liverpool if he had a choice. Isak just wants what the best wage possible for what one of the best strikers in the world could earn. He's being a cunt the way he's going on, but I don't think greedy.
  8. Should keep Joelinton on his toes and give us something different.
  9. Wissa and no more if Isak stays, or Wissa plus one if Isak goes I reckon.
  10. Is it too late for Arsenal to find £150m for Isak?
  11. On to 86 with Mbeumo & Longstaff to go. Possibly some bonus points for Sanchez or Guehi? A 100 point first week would be nice!
  12. I was picking West Ham so I'm happy this didn't work.
  13. Hickey on the bench, huge season for him, seems to have been injured ever since he went there.
  14. Yeah, this is where I am. As long as we get cover, playing regularly will benefit Miley and us in the long term.
  15. Bump. Think top 6 is definitely on the cards, 5th if Man Utd continue to balls up. Think top 4 have pulled away.
  16. I thought the front 3 linked up pretty nicely. Would be nice to think there'll be games if we don't sign a 10, where they can play across the attack behind a striker in a 4-2-3-1.
  17. "Cannot commit with the same vigour". Ie, Spurs want/need him more. I fucking hate the terminology used these days.
  18. He wants to join a club who'll consistently challenge for the majority trophies, which PSR the last 2 years in particular have dictated there's only 6 clubs who'll only be able to do that, and we're not one of them. Those 6 clubs might have 1-2 bad seasons, but they can put it right. Liverpool are one of those clubs unfortunately.
  19. I think in terms of depth, one of the best sets of 4 wingers in the leagues, too.
  20. Fulham, Palace, maybe even West Ham.
  21. Hebburn conceded twice in injury-time to lose 2-3.
  22. And one opening day decent performance doesn't make a good player. I remember Stan Varga looking like Baresi on his debut for them against Arsenal when he signed. Average at best.
