BermyToon
Still remember that goal he put on a plate for Luque to score against Palermo. Can't remember any of his goals though, maybe one that he scored from a yard out back in 2004.

TheBrownBottle
Well done to him for breaking a completely confected record, following the invention of football in 1992. Just another two seasons’ worth of appearances and he might get to John Hollins’ record for an outfield player in terms of top flight appearances - and I’m going to assume Shilton’s record is well out of reach given he’d need to make almost another 200 appearances. He was too busy defending his over the hill star signings like Butt and Owen. For a hard man, he spent a lot of time kissing arses of big name stars, and looking for younger players to blame for his shit results. Spot on. That was, and is, Sourness's modus operandi. Fucking coward and bully of a bloke and a dogshit manager to boot.

54 Posted Monday at 08:17 Share Posted Monday at 08:17 Quote Former England international James Milner has announced his retirement after a 24-year Premier League career. The versatile 40-year-old was out of contract after spending the past three seasons with Brighton. Milner played for six teams in England's top flight and broke the record for most Premier League appearances in February. He started his career with Leeds and went on to win three Premier League titles - two with Manchester City and one with Liverpool - and also helped the Reds win the Champions League in 2019. Pilko Posted Monday at 09:01 Share Posted Monday at 09:01 I reckon he could have done another five years in the EFL if he'd fancied it, but being able to bow out in the top league aged 40 isn't a bad way to do it. Some career, proper professional, very good player and that goal against Man U on New Years Day will live long in the memory.

Conjo Posted Monday at 11:36 Share Posted Monday at 11:36 Remember at the time I wasn't too fussed about him leaving. He was incredibly frustrating to watch at times with his inability to get past his man and hitting the first man on crosses/corners, however in hindsight that was only because we used him exclusively on the wing. He could play on the wing, but he was never a winger.
