Not all hope is lost.

Better than the last ex-Leeds striker we signed I guess. ;)

Dear God!  People are still posting shite rumours on there!!!  Mind, it was the only form of entertainment at work today.

David Craig was very coy then wasn't he.If you stay up and keep watching,i may tell you which name i heard......and i may not.

I'd love to know SSN's viewership on days like this, and how much they make off the adverts for it.

I had it on when I got up as background noise and haven't had it on since. They have a few good segments and are usually among the first to break the news, but it's fucking woeful viewing the rest of the time.

Not saying that he would be a good player for newcastle, but im from scunthorpe and beckford was on loan last season with us, and he is a real class act. by far the best player on the pitch a mile off! (but that was in league 1) so doing the same two leagues higher is probably a long shot! - would still be a good player in the championship. couldnt see him being a newcastle target to be honest!

Be interesting if this Italian kid shapes up like Rossi though - by the way, whatever happened to him ? Supposed to be going to be as good as Ronnie at Man U wasn't he ?

He's playing well for Villareal in La Liga (they're 3rd), got 11 goals in 23 appearances for them this season (hasn't completed many games). Cost them £6-7M.

What Keegan really needs to do is drive James Milner out to Birmingham again, tell him he's being transferred, then at 23:59 tell him he's changed his mind and that he's playing on Sunday.

Last time that happened Milner had a good spell and wasn't so shit.

I was reading an interview with a local sports correspondent for a national newspaper, who swears blind that that business with Milner being called back at the last moment was "because FS wanted to get one over on MON for turning down the Newcastle job".

Now, I am aware of the numerous assertions in that statement which could be realistically challenged, but wouldn't it be kind of ironic if it were actually true. It would be like Freddie's revenge.

Although, I'd still have Milner here. He's better than Wayne Cunting Routledge FFS
