Thorpinho Posted Wednesday at 23:01 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:01 Were wor flags not doing a display for him this season? I thought that, and him being at a game, was on the cards fairly soon (I had hoped Man Utd game)
Wallace Posted Wednesday at 23:24 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:24 He always said he would come back once we won something.
Ellis H Posted Wednesday at 23:59 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:59 Funny how he’s coming crawling back now we’ve won something. Pathetic. ONLY pulled his hamstring? Shows how little he cares. I’ve always respected that he’s kept his distance, not wanting to overshadow the manager the way Alex Ferguson often does. He might feel more comfortable now Howe’s fully embedded in our hearts and there’ll be no talk of him “coming for Howe’s job” just because he’s at a game. Decky Posted Thursday at 00:53 Share Posted Thursday at 00:53 When he does come back to SJP no doubt Wor Flags will have a display on for him. Be a really special day that.
joeyt Posted Thursday at 08:28 Share Posted Thursday at 08:28 He's fully aware that he can't just turn up for a game and sit in the stands/ posh seats like Shearer can. And he's aware his presence will distract from Eddie and the team. Says a lot about him as a man I think that Personally I think it's really sad that a man who gave so much to our club and gave the best era of football SJP has ever seen hasn't been at the ground for over a decade and doesn't just have a seat for life in the ground. Guess that's what years of bad ownership does for a club. His passion for the club and city is just as strong as ever
James Posted Thursday at 08:56 Share Posted Thursday at 08:56 To avoid distraction (which won’t happen after his first reappearance) either involve him at Town Moor event somehow, or invite him to a pre-season game, Hamburg perhaps?

Agreed, we should start an annual preseason Kevin Keegan Cup [in association with Sela] - us vs Hamburg, with a £200million prize pool
pedro111 Posted Thursday at 09:34 Share Posted Thursday at 09:34 (edited) I had been wondering if he had said anything about the cup win. Glad to hear he is doing well. Without him none of this would be possible. I want him back associated with the club before it's too late. Edit - Also wheres his statue? And Joe Harvey's for that matter. jack j Posted Thursday at 10:45 Share Posted Thursday at 10:45 Really strange how he hasn't been back like Cant but help think there's something underlying...seen someone say he wasn't happy with the way Beardsley is treated within the club now, and Keegans best pal in football is PB

Cronky Posted Thursday at 12:51 Share Posted Thursday at 12:51 On the subject of KK and a return to the ground, there's something very 'all or nothing' about the guy. His career is full of sudden appearances, sudden departures, long absences and periods of apparent commitment. Being a bit player isn't his thing, and at the same time he's right in not wanting in any way to upstage Eddie.

Important point about Joe Harvey as that plaque is fucking terrible. Needs at least an upgrade on that shite, good enough so young supporters will stop and read it

Love SBR but he has a statue, a bust of his head, a memorial garden and probably other things dedicated to him. Feel that it’s a bit OTT. That’s not a comment against Robson, but feel that there’s people in the clubs history don’t get the recognition they deserve
Yorkie Posted Friday at 07:41 Share Posted Friday at 07:41 If there was a statue of Keegan, what image would it be based on? (I've been thinking the same for Howe, incidentally; I think maybe the bit where he's got two hands on the cup facing the Wembo crowd).
