Decky
How many times is this in the past couple of years? Or were the rest just injuries and not surgery?
Guest Spark
Could be Harper's chance, this. I'm backing him to become our first choice 'keeper next season.
Robster
Fear that he may never be the same again

Dokko
Just what we needed like. Harper for the remainder then, no point brining Given back until next season imo, it might sort this injury out finally.
colinmk
Probably for the best, maybe this niggling problem has been the main reason for his poor performance.
lovejoy
i think its good news, gives harper a good chance
9
should be sold in the summer while still has some value..
geordie jamie
He has not been the same since he got injured away to WHU last season.
Guest battyleespeed
Wishing for speedy recovery but relieved at the same time. About time he was "dropped". Here's hoping Harper won't be picking up any injuries etc...
Guest LucaAltieri
Funny, at the start of the season people were taking the piss when it was suggest Given might not be the same, injuries may reoccur, and that we should be looking for a replacement for the start of next season. I’m sure it’s not something anyone wanted to see and the people who predicted it would have preferred to be proven wrong but his performances haven’t been up to his usual high standard, he’s not looking as sharp as he used to, and he can’t stay fit. Sad to see but fairly predictable.
Cronky
Probably for the best, maybe this niggling problem has been the main reason for his poor performance. If he's been worried about aggravating his groin, it certainly might explain these erratic clearances that have been going on over the last few months. lebrock
I'm not really overly bothered, he hasn't been filling me with confidence for a long time now, i tend to shit myself every time someone passes the ball back to him. Having Stevie Harper to fill in is hardly the end of the world either.
Karjala
didnt wonna start a new thread on it, but Givens international teammate Duff banned from driving today. Wanker.
lovejoy
all we need now is for smith, butt, barton and duff to have the same op, and we can freshen things up like we need to to play blackburn
La Parka
Hmm, probably the cause of his drop in performance. Wasn't himself this season. Good luck to Harper and Forster (who is starting to look the part).

Guest The Libertine
harper is a good shot stopper but he will make more "mistakes" than given. the next few months should dispel the myth that he's good enough for england.
relámpago blanco
harper is a good shot stopper but he will make more "mistakes" than given. the next few months should dispel the myth that he's good enough for england. I can only recall Harper making a couple of blunders Xabi Alonso for liverpool being th main opne but he hadnt played for years and it was very wet. EDIT: I count more than that in each of our last 5 games for given.
