Another freebie I wonder how much transfer budget pardew was given during his meeting with Ashley at the end of the season ? I'm guessing about £10 million

Remember we include wages when calculating expenditure so if we give Gomis a 5 year contract on 80k a week that's basically 20 million spent.

It's fairly obvious how the King will use him. He is a good player IMO but will see us revert to the old grim stuff. Remember the king wants to "move away from old 4-4-2"

To even older 4-4-2.

Hooooooooooooooooooooftastic

Don't care really. Like Colback, it's another signing to please Pardew, and a pretty decent one at that. With each one through the door Pardew becomes more answerable to his critics. Nowhere to run Pards. Nowhere to hide.

I really hope that's true, the cunt seems so bullet proof.

Well this is a surprise. Thought it would be a no go this summer, considering all the problems previously, and the fact he is inching closer to 30 now.

Actually think it's good that we're not being put off by his age, as we really need at least one striker who is a bit more experienced tbh. Hope we just get this through the door and stop messing about now.

You haven't factored in the sale of Mapou and Santon yet. Never mind who wins again, it will be like winning the fucking lottery.

We'll win a prize for staying in the premier and boosting the Sports Direct profile, and with this transfer activity we'll do just about enough to pull it off I reckon. Guess who wins again?

with the sort of signings we make pardew always has the excuse of how can he do better when doesn't get backed by the board the pundits still love him and his reputation for creating teams on a budget will put him on par with moyes pre man utd

Or Dennis Wise. ;)

Keegan is due to fly to France this weekend to give his final blessing to the move, set up by the new Toon spying team. St Etienne have already said no to a £7m offer from Bolton.
