Other clubs' transfers

There's photo's of him in the shirt after their last home game.

They should go ahead and sell him in January and spend that money on a replacement and some defenders. Martins has more league goals in less games and Grafite is not far off and scored a hattrick in CL. It's actually a shame Grafite is around 30 as he has been the better player than Dzeko over the last two years.

Sulaiman Al Fahim is trying to persuade Portsmouth manager Paul Hart to sign Egyptian striker Amr Zaki.

Former Wigan forward Zaki has been continually linked with a move to Fratton Park since the summer but Hart is reportedly concerned about the player's attitude and fears he could have a negative impact on the Pompey dressing room.

The 26-year-old controversially failed to report back to the Latics last season after a spell on international duty, and then Wigan boss Steve Bruce labelled him the most unprofessional player he had ever worked with.

But former Pompey owner Al Fahim, who still holds a 10 per cent share in the club after the takeover of Ali Al-Faraj, would love to see Zaki in a Portsmouth shirt - although admits the decision is out of his hands.

"It's not my decision, it is up to Paul Hart and Avram Grant but I would like to see Amir Zaki," he told The News.

"He loves Portsmouth. He calls me almost every week and he wants to be part of the Portsmouth team.

"He is a player who could add value. The price we could get him for is also good."

Class player if arsed.

Dyer = Ipswich

Ipswich Town weigh up move for West Ham's Kieron Dyer

Ipswich Town are considering making a shock move for Kieron Dyer. The 30-year-old former England international has endured a miserable time through injury at West Ham United since his £6 million transfer from Newcastle United two years ago.

His latest spell on the sidelines has been caused by a hamstring strain and he is unavailable, again, and will miss Saturday's crucial Premier League meeting away to Hull City.

It means that Dyer has started just four league games – and six games in all - for West Ham since he joined the club.

West Ham are keen to keep Dyer but it is understood that he may be interested in a return to Ipswich, where he started his career, joining the club as a schoolboy.

He played for his hometown club for three years before moving to Newcastle for £6.5 million in July 1999 and has always retained a strong attachment to the club, hoping to end his career there.

Despite languishing second from the bottom of the Championship after a disappointing season so far under manager Roy Keane, Ipswich are hugely ambitious and have spent more than £7 million on new players in the past financial year.

Owner Marcus Evans is prepared to make mre funds available to Keane who has promised to take the club back into the Premier League.

Clearly a major stumbling block for Ipswich would be Dyer's Premier League wages. Indeed he is one of the highest paid players at Upton Park and is believed to earn around £60,000 a week.

Ipswich would also hope not to have to pay a fee for Dyer who still has two years left on his contract.

Dyer has been plagued with a series of injuries and, just six days after earning his 33rd England cap in August 2007, soon after joining West Ham, suffered a double fracture of his right leg in a League Cup tie away to Bristol Rovers.

It was only his third appearance for the club and he was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Still can't believe they paid that much for him

At the time it seemed like a good deal for all concerned. We got a lot of money for him, he got his move to London and West Ham got legs in midfield.

Little did they know those legs were made from pipe-cleaners like...  :coolsmiley:

WHU are like NUFC lite. Why they tried follow our blue print is mental: Spend, spend, spend. Get Dyer, Nobby, Bellamy, Parker, Bowyer & a striker called Cole in. Players on big bucks who never play or live up to the billing, Bellamy leaves joins Mark Hughes, number 9 with recedding hair line calls it quits after knock (or coming soon for Deano). The result: Fanny around near the bottom with only late runs bailing you out for a few seasons & then finally relegation.

Eduardo will be fucked over the Christmas matches, he can barely go a week without getting a knock, 2 games in 3 days will probably kill him.

Any chance Arsenal will get a loan striker in January? Huntelaar? Ruud? (Although he'd probably never play for Arsenal after what happened when he missed that pen)

Time for Vela, Walcott or Sanchez Watt to step up!

My mate reckons Watt is further along in the pecking order than Vela which is interesting!

Nicky Shorey's joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of December.

The phrase "one-season wonder" couldn't sum up a player as good as it does Shorey.

Real Madrid midfielder Gago's agent has come out and said his client wants out in order to realize his World Cup hopes.

He is pretty pish and should be nowhere Real's or Argentina's starting XI, so I hope he stays there because Pellegrini still seems to play him from time to time.

Soccernet running with a £40m+£10m add-ons transfer for Aguero to Chelsea in January as their main story.

Wages/bonuses would make the deal worth a ballpark £100m after the contract (5-6 years).

All "inside sources" and that sort of bollocks, but will be an interesting one to keep an eye on.
