Season Tickets due to arrive Thursday/Friday - see OP for latest

Recommended Posts

Anyone that bought this seasons ticket for cup games received their refund yet ??

Nope and I have an email from the Box office that says this:

"We are aware that those supporters who have already renewed may have paid more than the new prices, if this is the case a refund will be automatically issued during July."

I'll wait until this week's fiasco is sorted before chasing this up.

I still await my £115 refund too. They originally said July, then early Aug', and now it's anybodies guess when we get the money back.

Grateful to be paying less next season however, and the view from my new seat is just as good.

I got a refund cheque from them today....

My ticket came today but still NO Cheque for £136.00

Going to get there for 10, even then there will be a massive wait no doubt.

just hope we don't have a massive clart on like the start of last season. having to use the correct turnstiles etc even when the one right next to you has no queue.

People still do that, and were doing so at the Valencia game.

In order to allay any fears, we guarantee that if you have purchased a season ticket then you will gain access to St James' Park on Saturday 23 August to see Newcastle United take on Bolton Wanderers in our first home game.

is it just me or does that bit make it sound as if there is no chance of season tickets arriving before the game next week?

another mess.

It's an interesting chocie of words compared to "We guarantee if you have purchased a season ticket it will be delivered before the first home game" isn't it.

"i'm a fat, populist, spurs fan who has fuck all idea but a small number of cretins have fell for it."

thats about the size of it. Still, 8 days till judgement time for a lot of people.

Whats the betting in 12 months time they are saying something like "we have to wait until all these bright young kids kids turn into the new Gazza"

Edit: realise a slight deviation of topic here, apologies for the "negative" vibes ............. [depending on your point of view of course]

Looking forward to the match today, ticket came on thursday, just in time. On the playing front though, hope nobody is seriously injured. Should have plenty of dosh, I for one have paid 3 years up front here.

Sorry, but the long term signs have been ominous for months now. Those who want the club to be run like the Evertons of this world rather than the Liverpools, may be about to have their wish.

We'll see.

No sure Liverpool is the best example you could have used but I know what your trying to say.

outstanding example. as a big city club with big support. Its exactly the aim that we should have all the time, and if we don't have that aim, its just not good enough.

I could also make a remark about Everton once being bigger, better and more ambitious than us too, but only a few members of this board aren't in self denial enough to understand or acknowledge it to be absolutely true.

The record books are available to anyone if they wish to dispute this ie in terms of league positions, european qualifications etc

there are some debateable comments for you there. I presume you are ignoring them because they don't suit you ?

As I said, I've got 1334 reasons to show your childish insinuation is daft.

We tried to sign Woodgate and Modric for over 20million. Aimar changed his mind.

We can't exactly sign another decent forward with Owen and Martins on over 200k a week between them. Are we going to put one of them on the bench when they're both fit?

We've got four wingers for two positions.

We've got two decent keepers and two promising ones in reserve.

Beye is good enough, Colocinni's cost 10 million, Keegan seems to rate Taylor and we're trying to get a left-back in.

What more do you want them to do?

And as I've said (4 times now I think) I don't see what your 1334 reasons have to do it soopafan.  Still keep bringing it up O0

Nothing to debate there at all there until the end of the transfer window.  The rest of it is just your usual WUM patter, unless I'm missing something.

Are you pleased with the transfers so far, or can you not praise anything any more?

now I could attack this re criticism of the past, and say why buy players for positions that are already occupied with players, except that I'm as blown over as anyone by the 2 Argies, especially Jonas, and one thing I've always said is that its quality that counts [unlike the good business rubbish of last summer. ]

But with 8 days left, and with pretty much everyone harping on about spending millions, judging Ashley, bringing in all these players etc etc blah blah, lets not beat about the bush here. We have a thin squad, and injuries will cost us dear. In the case of Liverpool, they aren;t worried about bringing in first then offloading later. This is what a club with a huge fanbase can afford to do, and its how we should also be prepared to operate.

I realise some people won't accept this, with their heads in the sand, but to be honest, I don't give a toss. If you want to behave like a 2nd rate club [again like we did for decades] then I personally don't.

As for silly people saying criticising Ashley means I want the team to lose to be "proven right", having forked out 3 years season ticket money and having watched this club since 1964. Seriously, how old are you ?
