Argentina international Coloccini urged his employers to allow him to sign what has been called ‘the contract of his life’ by his agent, and it appears an agreement has been found. Deportivo’s official website announce that a verbal agreement was reached last week between both top flight clubs, and that the documents have been officially signed. The centre back joined Depor from Milan four seasons ago, established himself as one of the best defenders in La Liga, and has been transferred for ₤12 million at the age of 26. "The Argentina international is, starting from tonight (Wednesday), a Newcastle player,” read a statement on Depor’s official website.
