Forget about Shearer he isn't stupid. No top manager in this country or anywhere else would take the job either. It will be some unknown from the continent who won't last 5 minutes here, at the first sign of trouble fans will kick-off. The only way forward is for Ashley to sell up. He did well at Getafe last season despite of a small squad without any big names. Probably waiting for someone in La Liga to get sacked though. I just don't understand how it could be Zola... He has nil experience, no links to Newcastle (bar the dwarf) and no outstanding credentials that i can think of.
