The Weekend's Other Matches

Seeing Spurs struggling doesn't make me feel any better about our problems to be honest.  :undecided:

We got to be happy they lost or we would of been sitting at number 20 spot

19th or 20th, we'd still have major problems regardless.  ???

Yeah but being bottom would be another low point. 20th has a stigma attached that 19th & 18th don't even though if you occupy them positions after game 38 your team is still going down.

Right, that's fine then...

Bruce is doing a good job at Wigan.

He is. Seems to have come on as a manager quite a lot.

Cracking move by Birmingham to drive him out  :nope:

Read on one of our forums that he was at our game against Sunderland yesterday.

As he walked towards the entrance, one of our lot said "you did the right thing getting away from that lot, Steve"

"You're not wrong there", his reply.

Got Wigan playing some great football. Valencia looks fantastic.

Away from Wigan, Everton defended worse than us for the Torres goals, affording him space? More like giving him the key to the city!

Whilst we are a club in crisis, it encouraging the likes of Everton, Spurs and now they are even talking up Man City as one. Given the fact Hull, West Brom and Stoke will all struggle, we do have every chance of getting ourselves firmly out of this malaise.

Guest Geordiesned

Are the refs having a private competition this season to see who can give the most ridiculous decision?

Yesterday was the turn of that arrogant twat Styles awarding a pen for a perfect tackle on Ronaldo.

Today Bennett (who seems to make a howler in every game he refs) awards a pen for a blatant dive but then tops it by awarding Wigan a free kick when Bramble nearly chops a Man City player in half in the area!
