Mike Ashley I Hope You're Happy

Recommended Posts

in the end of season readers poll in the mag, the question was "was mike ashleys takeover good for NUFC?" the results were "100% Yes".

but yeah, ashley out n shit.

I bet if there was a question asking 'is this transfer window critical to the football club?' the answer would have also been 100% yes.

What's Ashley got to do with this?.

Er...have a guess, man! FFS hes the one thats left us with an interim manager and maybe if he invested properly in the summer we wouldnt have to play players like Nicky Butt for every game!! Its a f*cking disgrace!

You think so? when Keegan could have bit the bullet and got on with his job, like a lot of people do even if it's not going your way.

Yeah I do. I think that he was right to walk tbh. He was going to have to put up with that system of transfers etc. if he did stayed and he cant operate like that. Im pretty sure most British managers cant. Its a tough one to call but why the f*ck did Ashley have to put the system in place anyway? Just get a scouting network going and let the manager deal with ins and outs etc. Its simple.

Ashley doesnt have a f***ing clue and it really does show. Thank f*** for Totenham Hotspur FC.

Well obviously he saw how well it works on the continent and why people say it wouldn't work in a British system is just bullshit!, it can!, if you give it time, which was what was needed and if King Kev was so unhappy, why leave it so late?, to spit his dummy out!.

You're saying how well it worked on the continent. Guess which nation at a club level is currently dominating the Champions League? Erm I think that would be us.

But what use is it having a manager when he cant buy the players? Unless they are proven quality and its clear that they'll make a positive impact, would you want random players that you know little about just handed to you and said "Here, work with these players." I know I wouldnt.

As I said, what he should've done was set up a proper scouting network instead of Jiminez and Wise and let KK get on with things. We would never be in this mess if he had just given KK what he wanted.

To be fair to Ashley, the Yid system he based things on is working well.

was*

beat bolton, coventry and drew with man utd. genuine optimism for a while, most people happy, possible top half finish........and then he goes and spoils it all by doing something stupid like fuuucking off.......fuuuucking off.

I'd say the reason it was working well as you say was more down to the manager than anything else. I could be wrong like.

Nothing to do with having more money than all the other leagues, obviously.

Feel free to point out which big money players got Liverpool and Arsenal to three consecutive finals.

Guest optimistic nit

not that i want to get into this debate, but it seems to me that ashley's biggest mistake was looking at spurs and seeing a system that was working. he built our system around an already flawed system.

to be fair though, quite a few fans on here had been jelous of spurs around mid august.
