LiquidAK
Liverpool were only 4 points behind Man U last season. If Man U really have signed their last player, they've lost 15 points imo Mind boggling that after getting £80m from Ronaldo they aren't going to spend any of it on a top class striker to replace those goals. They could get one for £20-30m and still have a £50m profit.

Segun Oluwaniyi
Think Chelsea are going to win the league next year. Man U right now are definitely weaker, and it would take more than one signing to fix it.
Ronaldo
Drogba has has his last 2 seasons pretty much ruined by injury, before that he was looking like the best striker in the world. they'll win the league if he hits top form again, no question whatsoever for me
Dave
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/89041/I-ll-be-a-crock-of-gold-Fergie/ I didn’t set the world alight in my last year in Newcastle and that is no one’s fault but mine; we weren’t playing well as a team and I wasn’t doing my bit either. Nice of him to admit it now he's got his move.

It makes no sense I know but I don't care, I almost feel like that cretin sent us down, his last performances in a Newcastle shirt were lifeless. Aye, there's certainly nothing he can say that will make any difference to my opinion of him. I had very little respect for him, but that little bit went when he said nothing about our relegation at all when he was our club captain. Absolutely disgusting, and thoroughly disrespectful behaviour.

Even if he hadn't scored which he didn't, I'd have said well he tried well done. But the fact he missed a sitter against Pompey, and that against Stoke, Villa, he just pottered round like we were 3-0 up and had already won the league just pissed me off, I knew as soon it hit the 30 game mark he just no longer gave a monkeys. johnnypd
well at least he is admitting it, rather than hiding behind stats and shit as he did last season, self centered twat.

Guest Stephen927
Ferguson is just trying to stop the media reports linking him with a different player every other day, the club gets wind of these reports and automatically the price is bumped up more because everyone in world football knows Man United are quite flush (or going to be, the Ronaldo payments are staggered over 3 or 4 years). So you have 10 other players do all the work for you so you don't have to put the effort in?
bovineblue
That promotional brochure Owen put out must have been f***ing amazing! Ashley should get that lot to do up a brochure to con persuade people into paying for season tickets.

nobby_solano
perhaps sir alex is keeping his £ for next summer, when transfer fees get inflated again post world cup? i imagine giggs/scholes/neville might retire at the end of this season, so he'll be looking to replace them next summer and will need all the £ to do it. Colos Short and Curlies
Remember his comments before signing Rooney? Spookily similar. If the right player becomes available he will be in there like a priest at a nuns convention

If the right player becomes available he will be in there like a priest at a nuns convention Yep, when linked with Rooney before our bid he wasn't interested, said he was happy with Alan Smith (). Was only the thought of losing out on him to us that made him buy him in 2004 rather than 2005.
