KaKa
Spurs should offer McCleish Jenas, Hutton, Defoe, Crouch, Pavluychenko and Bentley for Darren Bent back. Think he might go for that.
matta
So Redknapp's been here 2 and a half season (5 transfer windows) and we've signed.... Friedel - Free Bassong - 8m Kaboul - 5m Walker and Naughton - combined 7m Gallas- Free Palacios - 12m Kranjcar - 2m Crouch- 9m Defoe - 12m Keane - 12m VDV - 8M Sandro - 8m Total = 83m Now in that time we've sold Bent - (11m rising to 16.5m) O'Hara - 5m Gunter - 2.5m Keane - 3m Taarabt - 1m So that's basically a 60m net spend in 3 seasons which is in no way "Bucket loads" considering the teams we're competing with spend that in 1 transfer window let alone 5. Crouch- 9m Defoe - 12m Keane - 12m if you actually had bought quality instead of these wasters, £60m would have been enough. out of that lot only VDV is 100% guaranteed starter. Perhaps Friedel also. And Gallas who was on a free.

KaKa
All Tottenham had to do was keep a hold of Bent and they would have been even further along than they are right now. Probably would have scored 30 playing upfront in the exact same team they had last season. Redknapp insinuating that Darren Bent was no better than his "missus" probably wasn't the smartest move. Gallas Bassong Kaboul Palacios Sandro VDV Defoe Kranjcar have all proven their worth to the team at the time, and have been good signings. Walker will probably end up a good buy too (as will Friedel). Only Keane from his buys has been a terrible signing.

Hanshithispantz
Regardless of the money he's spent, you cannot argue that Redknapp has not improved Tottenham. They are a far better side now than before he came.

Walker will probably end up a good buy too (as will Friedel). Only Keane from his buys has been a terrible signing. as proven on sunday, Kaboul is hardly top quality is he? Bassong is a good prospect, but he likes to copy Bramble abit to often. And he is always holding the oppositionplayers shirts. Sandro looks to be quality, shame he didn't come into abit earlier. Defoe - should have been spent on another striker. He was sold for a reason. Same goes for Keane. Krancjar has never really been a starter for you. However i think he is a quality player, but he hasn't been one for you so far due to limited game time. Palacios is overrated. One of the worst players in your squad. You have some great signings, but in my opinion you could have been so much better off if they money from berbatov and keane would have been spent on new players, instead of recycling players that left. edit: Gallas has been a steal for you. Good player.
Guest kingdawson
You don't get it do you mate? at the time we got players like Defoe, Keane, and Palacios we was in the relegation zone and there was no way we could attract top quality players. At the time it was a quick fix to get us out of the predicament we was in, and it worked. Obviously not the smartest move long term but we were desperate at the time and without those 3 players in particular we'd have been relegated no queestion. Yep i agree altough it looks like we're gonna recoup near enough all the cash we spent on Palacios and maybe Crouch too. Arry wants Bellamy.

Yeah, it's a bit daft to just list all of the players a club has signed over a 3 year period and claim there all flops as they aren't current squad members like. On the flip side he managed to get VDV for the ludicrous price of 8m.

Consortium of one
Lack of tactical and training instruction is probably the reason that Bassong has regressed. We need to bring him back if he's considered deadwood.
toontownman
Lack of tactical and training instruction is probably the reason that Bassong has regressed. We need to bring him back if he's considered deadwood. Would be perfect imo. The few here that might have begrudged him leaving are long gone. Would be perfect for LB cover and 3/4th choice CB. However we apparently already turned down the chance to sign him earlier in the summer.
