Guest Heneage
How do people think he'd work for England along side Rooney? With Capello wanting to bring forward younger players in time for 2012.
Yorkie
He'd have got a call-up even if he was shite tbh.

Nowhere near international quality IMO but if he gets a call up fair play.

I'm sure he's good enough to trouble the best that Switzerland, Bulgaria, Wales and Montenegro can muster in terms of center backs.

Guest je85
If they're giving Zamora time, then I don't see why he shouldn't get a couple of caps. He's far younger and has the potential to be much better.

I agree but countries like that, Swiss aside, are a waste of time, standard shit England beat in Quals. Carroll is a good player on form but no more, no less IMO at the moment. David Icke - Son of God
One thing I find astonishing is that Carroll was probably the least hyped of our young strikers over the past decade. Shola, Chopra, Guy, Offiong, Zola etc. all argubaly had bigger reputations at reserve level than AC9.

AC has just made his talking on the pitch and may let it continue
Big Geordie
He took Richard Dunne apart today and he's no mug when he comes to centre-backs. Watched the match again tonight, and Carroll's overall performance was as good 2nd time around. Keep playing like that and an England call up won't be far off because simply there is no other young English forward like him at the moment. He's a real throwback to the classic old centre-forward. Love it.

Big Geordie
As I said earlier, the comparison is definitely there. Hopefully Andy won't turn out to have big Dunc's injury problems or be a heed-the-baal either!
