Long may it continue.  Would be funny if the fans started getting on his back.

I know that NEVER happens in Liverpool but you know...

NEVER

And we get called deluded! Had a Liverpool fan telling me they could quite easily finish above Spurs now and they will double their points lead over us on Friday night. All this because Roy has gone and their world beaters like Lucas and Agger can now show what they're made of. All of a sudden the Carroll (who N'gog was better than a few months ago) and Suarez are going to fire them 'back where they belong' next season. Cracks me up!

Apparently no European adventure next season is good for them because it means the can concentrate on the title.

Ahahahaha!

Barton admitted he had been unsettled by Carroll's departure in January and wants Newcastle to prove they can match his own ambition before he extends his contract, which has a year to run. "It's important to respect the people who come to the stadium or watch the games on telly," he said. "That's what I told [the Newcastle management]. I told them the goal shouldn't be just to survive, to finish 16th or 17th, every season.

"We had a good player, Carroll, and we sold him. I told the management that I was worried, that I was scared this might happen every year. But they assured me they don't want to go down that road."

Barton, however, was not entirely convinced by the talks and is urging Newcastle to act by tying their leading players to new deals. "I don't know if I believe them," he said. "I told them I might stay this summer because we have some good players and money to spend. But I'm going to wait and see if players like Kevin Nolan, Cheick Tioté and Jose Enrique stay.

"If Nolan signs a new deal, I will as well. But I hope the club step things up. I want to be ambitious and I think the club share that desire."

Wish he'd just put on a scouse accent for the rest of his life and never mention us again tbh.

There was some desperate pundit/commentator on the radio the other day, claiming that he was already talking with a Scouse accent!!!  It won't be long before the media manage to erase his Newcastle years from his CV.

That's good, the more players put the pressure on the regime to spend the better.

That's happened with Gazza before. Have read quite a few articles where it states he started his career at Tottenham.

Then when he gets in bother, it becomes 'former Newcastle star....'

I like the idea of throwing Charlie Sheen at Andy Carroll.

Liverpool is coming to Korea in the summer. What sharp metal objects would you like thrown at him?

Don't feel the need to throw any sharp metal objects on my account

Blunt and wooden would be fine
