Ketsbaia
Relegated teams often can't score goals. We have the league's joint top scorer and joint second. Thats promising....
Thespence
Already scored as many as Owen did in the whole of the 08/09 season Tim Krul has scored the same amount as Viduka did in the 08/09 season.
Guest Stephen927
Could have got more than the one goal yesterday but I'm splitting hairs, he deserves a lot of credit for how he has come on. He's a genuine threat, other teams are setting up to nullify him in attack, it's all testament to the lad.

M4
He's just tweeted to nufc fans asking 'haircut or not?' this could prove it if he decides to. Still think it's a blatant fake... but will still tweet back 'no' just in case

Guest neesy111
30 goals for NUFC already, shola has around 70 after being at the club 10 years.

Guest
176 behind Shearer... 18 goals a season until he's 32, realistic? Granted we need to at least start getting back into the Europa League regularly in the next 3-4 years because that could add a fair few on.

Anderson
Would be interesting to see how many Al got from open play considering he took pens for 10 years as well as a fair few FKs unlike Carroll.
lovejoy
Sure shearer got around 50-60 pens. That could have been his premier league penalty total though.
AyeDubbleYoo
But getting freekicks and pens just means you're good at freekicks and pens, don't see why it should detract from someone's total goals. If Carroll was great at them, he would be taking them.

Colocho
Can see Carroll getting 150 league goals for us (or whatever it was Shearer ended on).

Think it was Monday Night Football's discussion about the best striker in the Premier League, so think the 56 pens is his Premier League total. Yorkie
If Carroll becomes half as good as Shearer was at his best, he'll be out the door.

Pandamninator
But getting freekicks and pens just means you're good at freekicks and pens, don't see why it should detract from someone's total goals. If Carroll was great at them, he would be taking them. I could possibly see an arguement for discounting penalties, but free kicks? If anything, free kick goals should held in a higher regard, much harder than your average tap in or header past the keeper from 8 yards away.
