Lets hope there was some truth in the first paragraph of that recent article in the Journal... FORMER Newcastle chairman Chris Mort is prepared to return to St James’s Park to help rebuild Mike Ashley’s shattered regime if the club’s owner is willing to take the club off the market. Get Mort back in, invest some money in January, try and finish in a respectable league position, then go all out to get a better manager than Kinnear in the Summer, when his contract expires. I'm happy that Mike Ashley has removed the limbo status of the club but I'm sure he'll happily sell if a multi-billionaire comes along after the credit crunch ends.
