Greg
Cant believe Broccoli has been released, he was my favourite named player. Bet he's steamed about it. Not surprised, he'd gone off the boil last time I watched him for the reserves, didn't look interested.

sempuki
Twin trialists eyed Joining Newcastle's development squad in pre-season training are two defenders, both available on free transfers following the expiry of their contracts. Former Arsenal reserve Stefan O'Connor was with Crystal Palace before signing for the Gunners during 2010. The 20 year-old Londoner made one substitute appearance in the Champions League four years later. Making four starts for League Two York City during a loan spell in the 2015/16 campaign, O'Connor was released by Arsenal at the end of last season affer spending time with Dutch side MVV Maastricht. 19 year-old Josef Yarney is a free agent following his release by Everton, the Liverpool-born defender representing the Toffees three times at U23 level in last season's Checkatrade Trophy competition. Yarney spent time with United at the tail end of last season and featured as a trialist in an U23 league fixture away to the smoggies in April. Quite a feat for the mother that, what with a year and half the country separating them.

It's a step up from Steffan Broccoli's potential of "Left untouched on the side of the plate after being mistaken for a little tree"
