Irrelevant short term but possibly massive in the long run.

Shame it didn't happen back in September and perhaps too late now...

I'd genuinely take sacking Llambias and appointing Shepherd as chairman again as the final piece of the new "regime".

Owner = Mike Ashley

Chairman = Freddie Shepherd

Director of Football (in the Milne rather than Wise sense) = Joe Kinnear

Manager = Alan Shearer

Coaching Staff = Iain Dowie, Chris Hughton & Colin Calderwood.

Think that would work.

:lol: you're fucking optimistic man

i doubt many contracts in football end on April 1st, so i assume he was sacked/resigned.

Has he been sacked or is it his contract isn't being renewed/came to an end anyway?

If there's any truth that his contract was due to expire in the summer anyway then he's probably just had the remainder paid up.

Not really a sacking, more a hastening of his exit.

Have to ask what Kinnears going to be doing now.

If cant be a coach, if he isnt replacing wise then what...hows he going to have a "big say with the players" as he claimed lol

i think those plans were scrapped when we dropped into the bottom 3. they (ashley and llamblas) obviously decided treading water until the end of the season was too dangerous and went begging.

My point exactly.

24 hours ago we were rudderless and fucked, we now have hope, at least enjoy it.

No i'm just a tad peeved,it's taken us to drop into the bottom 3 for Ashley to suddenly realise what was fundamentally wrong with the club.

I agree though we at least have some hope for now and as important,the future.

I'd take Derek to be next fall guy and Mr Mort to bring some sense back to the club.  Would cap a good weeks turnaround.
