Gallowgate End
Stoke are fucking shite, if we cant beat them useless cunts we deserve to go down. The home games against Fulham, Boro, Portsmouth are still going to be the most defining games though the performance against Stoke should give us a far more clearer picture then yesterday to what is to come under Alan for the vital run in and those must win home games. oldtype
Based on current form, every team in the Premiership has a better squad than us. We have to go with the mentality that we're looking to cause an upset. None of this "if we just play to our ability we'll roll over shit like Stoke" mentality. The Prophet
If we keep it on the deck and play some football there's no reason we can't beat them. Those throw ins are always going to cause problems though. Pulis is a genius. Sets his team out to pump some longs up field, keep the pressure on by peppering the box with set pieces and throw ins and when the opposition get the ball back kick the shit out of them. We just need some composure and we should be OK, I can see it being a draw though.
Superior Acuña
I wouldn't go as far as to say a win is totally essential. I think Stoke will be okay regardless, so don't necessarily see it as a 6 pointer. Huge game though. We need to win those 3 home games at least, and a win or some draws elsewhere should be needed - this is the best chance.
Gash
Beattie has been quality for Stoke since he signed for them, i actually agree with the Beattie for England calls (whole different thread) Newcastle will really need to deal with him in the air this weekend! Its going be tough, but i think Newcastle will get a point or three. Hopefully, travelling back with the stoke fans too my local area i wont look too happy on the coach
Mowen
Massive day out this. Never been to the brittania before, might have to be careful with the club colours from what I've heard about Stoke Need something. Something to cling on to.
Fenham Mag
If we play Taylor and Bassong together we will win. Taylor isn't as good on the floor but everything stoke offer is through the air. Imagine Coloccini if they get to use their little throw-in trick .
Fenham Mag
So I gather not many of you are looking forward Saturday then! We are that's for certain! Just for some info against 'boro we weren't at our best but as with all our games our grit and determination paid off. Boro knew they had to win to remotely have a chance of staying up and they came at us - but still couldn't score. Just so you know the 3 teams who have managed to win at the Brit this season were Manure, Chelski and Everton - none of them convincingly. So whatever happens at the weekend the one thing you can be damn sure of is we'll fight for everything and won't stop for 90minutes. Also you'll be glad to know that not only do we now have our strongest front pairing of Fuller and Beattie fit, but for the first time this season at WBA yesterday we were able field our strongest midfield lineup for the 1st time (Etherington, Delap, Whelan and Lawrence). On top of this our back 4 (5 with Sorrensen) has been unchanged for god knows how many games . . You'll get the full treatment of Fuller and Beattie, Lawrence and Etherington on the wings and Delaps bombs from the touchline . . . numerous teams have put 5 at the back when visiting (Boro for one) to try and defend our set pieces. Let put it this way if your back line isn't up for a battle then it might be a very long 90 minutes! Also the atmosphere is going to be absolutely electric since the return of your Messiah part 2 (or is it 3?) numerous media outlets have been talked about the game that you'll just turn up for the points - let alone 'too big to go down' and 'premier league needs Newcastle' (at the expense of Stoke) s**** - particularly the horsestarver Quinn. So let just say they've put many noses out of joint in the Stoke support and your bunch will be in for 90 minutes of pure abuse. http://f.imagehost.org/t/0398/Phil-Taylor.jpg Good for you pal

I had the pleasure of escorting marshaling his lot when they came up for the cup, by far the rudest, trampiest , foul mouthed bunch of cretins I've ever seen, even the Police women with me was sick of them. Decky
Stoke have got 11 points in their last 6 games, they are looking good tbh, but I seriously cant see them winning 3 in the row, if they were that good they wouldnt be where they are in the table. We are resurgent so I can see us winning this one tbh. All depends of Taylor and Bassong aswell. Harper Beye Taylor Bassong Enrique Jonas Guthrie Butt Duff Owen Martins Its a tough one because I cant see Nolan and Taylor being dropped, but they have to get dropped if we are to start winning, as does Colo. 2-0 to us, Owen and Martins. Teasy
Stoke fans make the Spuds lot look down to earth, total and utter delusional cretins. Stoke City themselves are a shit bunch of players, but their system works and they have to be favourites for this match considering our form. Still I think we can get a result. Teasy
Well that's one way to look at it, but another would be that they've lost very few games at home and are in much better form then us. They might not have won three in a row before but there's a first time for everything. If Shearer can motivate the players to play against Stoke like we do against the bigger sides we should get something, but I'd still see them as favourites personally.
