Harper

Beye Taylor Bassong Enrique

Duff Nolan Guthrie Gutierrez

Owen Carroll

Subs: Krul, Coloccini, Martins, Xisco, Butt, Smith, Lovenkrands

I doubt Lovenkrands will play again this season based on how uncomfy he looked when he got injured, looked like broken ribs

Shearer said it was a back injury but he's been "stabilized" at the hospital. Whatever that means. He might be ok yet, but we'll have to wait and see.

Sunderland lose to Man Utd.....no, wait, they get fucking humped!!

And we draw against Stoke- what do people think this will mean for us?

I think it'll mean that the Spurs and Pompey games will determine our season.

This game will sum it all up, Coloccini being dominated by Beattie and Fuller while Abdoulaye Faye man-handles Owen and Martins.  :weep:

Got to win this game, away/home form becomes irrelevant. Its Stoke.

Anything other than 3 points and we're not performing to our ability. End of story.

*cough* Stoke have only lost 3 matches at home this season.

Not saying that you're not right about that, but saying "its Stoke" implies that they're there for the taking.

In their last home game v boro they looked awful. Lucky to win with near a last min goal, it could easily have gone either way. Same happened against west brom earlier in the season. They've a good record at home, but often largely down to luck rather than brilliant performances.

I still think, we play our best we will beat them well. We'll have to keep Beattie out of it though.

This game will decide our season imo. Im not convinced our players have the bottle for this relegation battle, for that reason Shearer/Dowie is a masterstroke, pity it may be too late. Come away from Stoke with a win and the players will have responded to the new set up and proved to the fans theyre up for it, anything less and were doomed. On paper we can stay up winning our home games, but theres no evidence of the players actually improving their own performances, more worrying is the apathy coming from them, Icant recall any player except maybe Barton really screaming at the team to up their game, berating muppet mistakes, and driving forward in the 90th minute. Thats the difference between survival and relegation at this stage of the game. The team id like to see is this:

                          Harper

      S Taylor  Beye  Bassong  Enrique

          R Taylor Guthrie Nolan Jonas

                      Owen Xisco

Subs: Martins, Lovenkrands, Collocini, Fraser, Smith, Butt.

I think the Taylor partnership on the wing has some potential, xisco has the pace  to compensate for owens zimmerframe, beye and bassong are our best defenders, and a second half injection of pace from martins and lovenkrands may get some joy.

Absolutely no point in dropping Martins, otherwise we're as slow as shite and we'll never win (1 in 23 if you need more convincing) and secondly there's no point in playing them physically we don't have the players. Ball on the deck, straight to feet playing Owen and Martins behind and we'll get a result we have to play to our strengths, although Caroll is tall he's remarkably shit at headering the ball and never wins them so there's no point in the 'big man little man'.

A strong referee - and NOT a homer - is needed.

I think we'll get neither wish.

I take Stoke 3-1 - with another gutless heartless performance from three quarters of the team, with a disallowed goal that was OK, a couple of justifiable penalty claims turned down, and a dodgy one given to Stoke at 1-1 - yeah, really down disheartened and depressed, and expect the worst. Frankly, this pile of overpaid uncaring sh1te gives me no confidence or hope whatsoever, and poor Big Al inheriting them from such incompetent bast@rds as Kinnear/Hughton with little time to make any impact.....

A club run by unfunny clowns does that to a person.

Colo against Fuller or Beattie worries me.

I reckon Beye could deal with Fuller, while Seb has pocket waiting for Beattie. Ryan would be dropped for Steven.

Beattie has been a really good signing for Stoke.
