Said many times that AOC has been drafted in far too early, sure he has ability but he's clearly not ready for this level.

 

The amount of times he makes poor decision after poor decision shows he isn't mentally ready yet, but he's one of the next generation that people are excited about so people refuse to criticise him.

 

He hasn't looked ready since Danny Simpson had him in his back pocket, mind you that would dent any ones confidence.

Cleverley is the midfield equivalent of Welbeck. Both can pass it around fairly well and do the basics a bit better than the previous generation could but neither have anything extra to their game. Same could be said of AOC to a lesser extent as I'm impressed with certain aspects of his game and he looks very mature for his age, but i'd like him to play less safe, try something different and take more people on.

 

I hope we're not training a group of young players with good first touch and reliable passing etc but who have no flair, invention or imagination.
