leffe186
Nowt more tedious in football than the announcement of an England squad followed by numerous people whinging that their club's s**** player didn't get a call-up. I'd whinge that two of our shite players did get a call-up.

Froggy
You don't want Carrick in the squad?
Disco
Carrick has been criminally underused by England for near on a decade however now, given his age and reliability issues it's almost pointless including him if they're attempting to 'build for the future'. The College Dropout
Carrick has been criminally underused by England for near on a decade however now, given his age and reliability issues it's almost pointless including him if they're attempting to 'build for the future'. Agreed. The way he's utilised is stupid. Either make him a cornerstone of the side or don't pick him. If he couldn't get a game 2 years ago ahead of Scott Parker under Roy he'll not get proper time now.
ponsaelius
Carrick is dogshite.
Froggy
Carrick is brilliant, though I can see where Disco is coming from.
SEMTEX
"Brilliant". Sure thing ping pong. Whatever you say.
The College Dropout
I'm not sure if the negative posts around Carrick are serious like.
Froggy
He's class like. I'm wondering if people are having me on.
ponsaelius
2 assists and 2 goals in the last 2 years, fear not though, he brings 'control' (by passing backwards).
SEMTEX
http://i.imgur.com/GbUHD9i.png I'm just unsure which one of those he's supposed to be.
The College Dropout
Xabi Alonso scored 6 goals for Real Madrid in 240 games. Jonjo Shelvey probably has more this season.
SEMTEX
I'm not in the "dogshite" clan like, but I'm probably closer to that grouping than the "Brilliant" crew Brilliant ffs. Michael Carrick.
Ronaldo
Carrick is dogshite. I'm hoping this isn't serious.

Mr. Snrub
Henderson > Carrick all day long.
Froggy
I really rate Henderson now like, but he's no Carrick.
Tooj
They both play completely different roles so not sure why it has to be one or the other. Think Carrick's time has past but he should have had a lot more caps for England that's for sure.
The College Dropout
Still think Jordan Henderson is incredibly limited.
Astroblack
In what way? He's got great technique. I like that about him.
The College Dropout
In what way? He's got great technique. I like that about him. He doesn't though. He attempts difficult forward passes which I like but Jonjo Shelvey does that too. At the top level I just don't think he'll ever be good enough. Especially at international level. That Italy game really stood out to me. He wasn't near any of the Italian midfielders. Although I remember him against France a few years ago.. M'Vila ran circles around him and I thought he would never make it at L'pool. And he's proved me wrong on that front. But i've never seen him control a football match. Astroblack
That's all true. Time will tell, though. He seems to get better every season so hopefully that'll come into his game. Found this. Against Burnley, but he's improving. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/03/05/98-touches-76-passes-is-jordan-henderson-now-liverpools-most-imp/
The College Dropout
He has a brilliant attitude i'll say that. That's separated him from the like of Shelvey in his career imo. Focus. Wanting to improve. A decent level of humility to work harder and the arrogance to express himself. he's certainly no more talented.
Incognito
My point being that there's no future in Carrick. And he never really pulled up any trees at International level when he was at his peak.
