U2
Training with the development squad. Seems most likely that he is finished as a Newcastle player. Inglorious end.
STM
He's part of a crew which helped prop up Pardew's tenure, along with Coloccini and co. I have little sympathy. He once had huge potential. That said, we need a new keeper very soon.
AyeDubbleYoo
Seems weird that he's suddenly lost all ability as a goalkeeper. Would have thought it's more about fitness and we should help him back. Either way he's not ready to be number one this season, so I suppose it doesn't matter much whatever the explanation.

Newcastle Fan
One of my favorite Newcastle players, real shame to see it come to this.

John P
Weird for him to be training with the reserves. Surely he hasn't regressed so much that he's now worse than Elliott or Darlow? Seemed like a good guy and a decent professional too, so wouldn't have thought he would have had a falling out with Rafa.
triggs
Really strange. He's our best keeper as it stands yet he's not even getting a chance
AyeDubbleYoo
Maybe he is getting a chance, but he's just not ready to play the pre-season games.

gdm
Maybe he's said he wants to leave. Wasn't in a rush to hang around last season

He's training with the reserves I know, just could be because he needs training and isn't ready to be with the first team. Dunno.
LRD
Shouldn't depend on an injury-prone GK for the season anyway. Best to get an experienced pair of hands in for 2 seasons or so, with an eye on Woodman's development.
Bimpy474
I don't think Tim Krul deserves to be treated like he is, if he's been put in the development squad because he's no longer wanted. Unless something has gone on behind the scenes we don't know about, I think it's extremely harsh.

Mole_Toonfan
Really strange. He's our best keeper as it stands yet he's not even getting a chance There's no real evidence of that tbf. If he was our best keeper, i doubt he'd be jumping around from Eredivisie loan to the next and if reports are right not actually performing that well. Because he was our best keeper 3 years or so ago doesn't mean he still is.

Because he was our best keeper 3 years or so ago doesn't mean he still is. He came back late from injury and the other keeper was performing well at Ajax. At AZ he started poorly which is to be expected after a very long layoff but ended the season decently apparently
