Mike
Set up nicely for a Gerrard last minute winner then. No chance. They fluked through last season getting late goals but now they've been found out. They'll be battling with Villa for the last Europa league spot. Spurs and City have overtaken them and they'll be the ones to drop out of the top 4. They will absolutely get some help from the refs. Especially after that second goal. madras
Absolutely loving this Liverpool/Aston Villa match for two reasons: 1) I f***ing hate Liverpool more than any other team and 2) It's in HD here in the States. it'll be HD in the UK aswell i guess. You must of missed the tonking they gave Man Utd, Real Madrid and most over teams last season then.
Guest Heneage
"Trailing at impenetrable fortress Anfield" Jesus Christ. They've scored twice which makes that statement incorrect.

Real Madrid were awful last season and they aren't going to beat Man United and Chelsea twice again. They aren't the same side without Alonso and Gerrard and Torres are their only top players now. Defensively they are suspect.

ponsaelius
Don't particularly like Liverpool, but Benayoun is a fantastic player Yep, have always said this, he was criminally underrated but is starting to get the credit he deserves.

They are going to be chasing that last Europa spot .. based on 2 and a half games .. ok!

To suggest they'll drop out of the top 4 based on 2 and a half games is ridiculous.

So are Premiership seasons normally concluded by the end of this month? Just idle curiosity what was the gap last season between Liverpool and 5th?
