The other games today - 2009/10

Is this the full english team or half and half? Defence looks dodgy, actually just realising no John Terry? Is Green your keeper for the world cup? Can see him f***ing up big style at somepoint. Mexico's defence is shocking but they look good going forward.

No James, Terry, Lampard, whoever else plays for Chelsea.

No Michael Owen either. His brochure says he's a vital member of the England first team.

We miss Ashley Cole so much. Gerrard is a waste of space in this system.

Gerrard is horrid out on the left I agree. Was interested in seeing him play behind Rooney today but no deal.

Once again in an England shirt Gerrard has looked extremely sluggish. Same as Milner and Carrick too.

Carrick has looked bereft of confidence, Milner been invisible. Missing a tough tackling type in there to break up their rythm

Tbf Green's saves were of average premiership quality. Both shots were right at him.

Still think he's an average keeper, only slightly better than Harper imo, put it this way, Harper would have saved them all day long, and would have probably handled the goal better as well.

Baines has been piss poor, weak, slow, nervous.

Carrick looks and plays like horseshit, Gerrard trying, Milner not doing much since the opening 5 mins, Walcott being fast, a threat but with no end product, everyone else doing alright, though nothing special, certainly no WC winners tonight.

Our midfield looks a mess. Carrick and Milner lack pace and neither are great tacklers. As a result, we're getting overrun down the centre. We're also not creating anything.

I can't work out whether we're playing a 4-4-2 with Rooney and Crouch up front, or 4-3-3 with Rooney and Walcott out wide. They seem to be trying to alternate between the two, but defensively it's causing us problems.

I don't like Walcott. Not at this level. It's tempting to put it down to this thing of him not playing the game until he's 11. He doesn't have the right decision-making instincts.
