JH
Barton says exactly what we ALL think and he gets slated for it. Great Its pretty odd like. The overreaction on here to some twitter comments was strange enough, let alone this. You're both living in a f***ing fairly land if you think its fine for a player to continually slate his employer in public. I'd love to see these same people slate their own employers in public then still walk into the office expecting a pay cheque. He only made the comments because they were trying to get rid of him man! It'd be a completely different situation if he was saying this stuff after signing a five year deal.
Guest bimpy474
Adrian Durham talking sense, wow. Wot's ee sayin'? Guest cr4igora
I'd be slating my employer if they'd done the same as Ashley/Llambias. And you'd be sacked.
STM
3 clubs been in contact for Barton already.
AyeDubbleYoo
From the club's point of view, they should either have punished him internally or released him on the spot. To have him associated with the club while able to talk shit on twitter and appear on the radio with Robbie fucking Savage is a recipe for disaster. Then they would have to pay up the remainder of his contract. You think the Fat Lad would authorise that? Not really, I was wondering whether their is some way they could have sacked him for misconduct etc. Probably would have led to a drawn-out court case as well though I suppose. Guest Wally_McFool
Define absolute shambles? Look up the history of NUFC since Ashley took over then use your common sense. Finishing below the filth in League placings 3 years running is also pretty shambolic in my eyes!

mofo
Makaye (spelling) on talksport sounds like a right Dick. Saying barton wanted to stay but was offered no contract. Willing to sign a new contract for less money. Upset that he never took a set piece at Leeds. Thinks pardrew never had a say. Thinks barton will play for a top 4 team. Like I've said, Barton and McKay have done it on purpose just for this reaction. He leaves on a high and they both win with a free transfer with new contract, signing on fee and agent fee. Doctor Zaius
Joey7Barton Joseph Barton I am on a free but the honour of wearing those B+W stripes, surpasses that Nice try Joey. Time to pack your bags and f*** off! If you really loved it here and wanted to stay you'd have kept your mouth shut Why should he shut the f*** up? The clubs an absolute shambles. Define absolute shambles? Your f***ing posts. You should learn how to express your opinion in a well thought out and logical manner. Ranting and raving like a caveman is neither intelligent or attractive. The club is not in an asolute shambles. That would be what Portsmouth went through recently, or what Birmingham is going through right now. So your whole argument against my criticism of the club is that things could always be worse? Yeah good one. If you cant see that this club is being ran in a ridiculous manner then your a bigger joke than I thought. But I suppose, as you say, Its not the end of August yet is it? We might well reinvest that 35M+ back into the team eh? Dream on man.
Teasy
Some people seem intent on finding creative ways to imagine the evil motivations of Mr. Barton (teasy), conveniently forgetting the absolute asshole behavior that was read out in court from the owners, who continue to revel in it year after year. The truth is that they have no idea how to run a football club successfully, and if people just take a step back from getting caught up in over-analysing individual discrepancies (Joey Barton was at fault for constantly tweeting his displeasure but it's an extremely myopic view which refuses to believe the issue was borne in a vacuum), they will surely realize these are just symptomns of a much larger affliction that is Ashley's misguided attempts at running a club. My opinion was and still is that BOTH Barton and Ashley/Lambias are trying to look out for their best interests, and that Barton has gotten the better of them, and has exactly what he wants. All three of them are pricks. You're just yet another person who can't seperate not blaming Ashley 100% for everything with defending Ashley.
