Joey Barton

If they can't/won't sack him, QPR may as well loan Barton abroad for the first half of the season if he gets a 10 to 15 game ban. As far as I know, an English FA ban would not apply if he went to play in a foreign league. I'd imagine for example, one of the top Turkish clubs would be interested in loaning him.

Honestly Big Sam will take him, if he leaves QPR.

Not a hope in hell.

Sullivan and Gold have already said they will never buy him.

He'd still have to sit out his ban on his return though, in loaning him out you're putting off something which will eventually happen.

I'm confident he'll serve his ban if he's playing in any FIFA accredited nation.

Fair enough. I wasn't 100% sure how the ban would work if he went abroad. I thought he could be abroad for 15 games and then come back and play.

My dad interviewed him for his work today (he's making a programme on home advantage). They had a bit of chit chat before the interview and Barton was supposedly very nice and friendly. Said that he's expecting a 10-15 game ban for his shenanigans against city. He's claiming that Tevez hit him in the face and retaliated, knows it was wrong but is absolutely baffled at why the Tevez initial punch is being overlooked. He also kneed Aguero on his way off because he pushed him while it was all kicking off. He claims that he never tried to headbutt Kompany, he says Lescott was pushing his head and he was just trying to release it from his grasp, the logic he used was 'you can see that Lescott is pushing me towards Kompany because his hand follows my head all the way to Kompany's head, if he wasn't pushing my head towards Kompany's then his hand would have lost contact immediatley after i tried to pull my head away'.

Not very suprising or interesting i know but whatevs trevs

If he really wanted to break the mould of the typical footballer, he would not release another one of their ridiculous, "controversial" 'autobiographies', written to appeal to daytime tv watchers, bedwetters and the barely-living, but best used as doorstops and paperweights by anyone with any sense.

TBH, I cannot understand everyones fascination with him, particularly, our own fans.

For the amount of money we paid for him, we got little in return from him other than a couple of reasonable performances in the latter weeks of the championship season and a dozen or so decent displays last season.

Unfortunately, I think Joey has "run his race" in this country and I wouldnt be surprised to hear in the next couple pf years, that he has been jailed in some middle eastern country like UAE or Qatar for lamping some arab taxi driver, having been employed by some also ran offering him a  big last pay day.

Goodbye Joey, you wont be missed.

Typical excuse that everyone else to be blamed except himself. That's his biggest problem actually.

Big time.

If that is indeed the sanction, then really can't see QPR letting him hang around.

In any case, he's certain to lose the captaincy.

That would be ridiculous like, should be less than what Suarez got.

Because what Barton did was stupid but no worse than what the likes of Bowyer/Dyer did and countless other violent incidents. Should be more than 3 games since he did it twice, but I think it's far more important that a message is sent out over racism.

As much as I agree that Suarez should have got longer than he did, Barton committed three seperate acts of violent conduct to go along with the one he was already sent off for this season. If the FA follow through with their own rules, it should be 15 games.

Is this a joke? Bowyer and Dyer threw a few punches at each other. Barton struck Tevez, kneed Augero unprovoked and from behind, then tried to headbutt Kompany who was merely trying to diffuse the situation.

The cunt should be banned for 20 games.
