Dave
Had an excellent second half.
Disco
Had an excellent second half. Yup. Was getting him and Barton confused at times which is the ultimate praise tbh. Played it simple, mopped up well and kept possession well. No suprise that when he settled into the game was when we started to dominate unlike when Smith was on the field. Cajun
Proved me wrong. Thought he was very good and never expected him to have the heart for the occasion.
Ginola
Did very well when he came on. Hopefully, whenever he plays, we'll see more performances like that from him.
AyeDubbleYoo
Aye much better in the second half, kept it nice and simple.
TRon
Well done Danny. Now take some confidence from this going forward.

Pilko
First half shite, second half much better.
Guest axel
His best game of this season imo. Hope he can keep it up.
Ameritoon
Should start until Tiote comes back.
oldtype
He was our best option in central midfield for most of our relegation season. I don't know if that means he's regressed or that Alan Smith and Nicky Butt were just that bad.
Guest neesy111
Question: Why can't Guthrie and Smith put that kind of performance in most games??!
Mick
He's not as bad as some people try and make out and the claims that he lacks a heart is a joke.
ponsaelius
He's not as bad as some people try and make out and the claims that he lacks a heart is a joke. He doesn't lack a heart, he lacks fitness and phsyicality.
Guest neesy111
He hasn't got the fitness for the premiership.
Cajun
I think he lacks heart tbh. Did well today though.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
He's not as bad as some people try and make out and the claims that he lacks a heart is a joke. He had a fairly good game but I still don't think he's good enough.
johnnypd
I think he lacks heart tbh. Did well today though. agreed on both counts.
jdckelly
did well but i'd be reluctant to put him vs spurs midfield next week......................
ATB
could be a great player, but isn´t. should still play while Tioté is out and gosling is getting in to shape. he has this "aura" of calmness that I like, that he is good to keep the ball within the team, and that is a huge asset. Cajun
The fact he came on after 40 minutes helped, if he started and played to the end he would have got slated when he inevitably went missed after about 50-60 mins.
Guest Petay
I thought the game swag in our favour when he came on, for the anti-footballer. He can pick a pass and I think he's a half decent tackler (or perhaps that's just compared to Alan 'if you're not sliding it's not a tackle' Smith). I feel he's far too harshly criticised on here, mind I'm every bit as bad as with Smith, I really don't rate Smith, is that coming over, because I can't stress that opinion enough, those 18 months can't pass soon enough. ponsaelius
He's technically good, I have said that all along. It's just his strength and stamina is woeful. You could probably argue he's not up to it mentally either, maybe being stuck on the bench this season after being the mainstay of the midfield last year has affected his confidence badly. Guest Mantis
Question: Why can't Guthrie and Smith put that kind of performance in most games??! How about the fact that Guthrie has been played out on right wing for majority of games in last 18 months, which even Stevie Wonder would realise is crazy. He's been screwed over for a long time played wide right. Play Barton on LW and see how he copes.
