ATB
Probably get grief for asking this, but does anyone think Guthrie's form since coming back into the team increases the likelihood of us accepting a January bid for Tiote? yep, because we have Perch and Gosling waiting in the stand ready to excel. BONTEMPI
watching the game on "low quality" tv, it's very hard to distinguish who is who between him and cabaye at times. We just need a Tiote clone aswell and then were sorted Just feed Cheik after midnight
Dokko
Probably get grief for asking this, but does anyone think Guthrie's form since coming back into the team increases the likelihood of us accepting a January bid for Tiote? No. I just think he's doing the job we need him to do, be backup/ rotation to two classy central mids. You could say we couldn't sell Tiote as we haven't sorted out Guthries contract. Deserves grief. Besides not being terribly similar to Tiote, nobody here has a clue what stage his contract talks are at, what we are likely to do in January, or how a players form in November might affect things. stozo
Based on his form in the last three games it's a shame that he will get dropped when Tiote returns.

Aye, it has to happen though tbf. Great that I would actualy feel confident when Tiote fucks off to the ACN though, or if either Cabaye or Tiote have an injury. It feels weird, but all decent teams should have this kind of backup.

I'll just stick my head in the sand and enjoy these players playing well while they're here (before they both depart at some point in the future, as all our players inevitably will). Dave
I never said we shouldn't enjoy the moment - I certainly am - just wondering if this (let's face it, surprising even for people who rate him) form is making the powers that be think twice about how we'd do if we sold a key player. Hopefully other clubs aren't even interested at the money that has been mentioned in the press, but I doubt that.

Decky
Its incredible how Guthrie has stepped up in recent games. Who would have thought Danny Guthrie would be putting in these performances? Fair play to the lad. It's a shame to see him dropped when Tiote is back, but for us to be happy knowing we have a good backup for Tiote and Cabaye in Danny Guthrie, is a testament to how far he has come in the last few games.
