him and Cabaye in front of Tiote in midfield would be a very very tasty midfield, and if we seek to hold possession that's what I'd go for, but I suspect that hampers other aspects of our game so I doubt will be a frequent formation.

Guthrie's impressed me a lot, and massively eased my panics over Tiote / Cabaye injuries.

it's smilar to the way i thought we were heading. tiote central with the other central mids having more license to go forward. i'm sure this is why we were supposed to have the interest in barnetta.

He and Cabaye had to do a lot of running. Guthrie in particular impressed with some of his technique and ability to spray the ball. It's a shame it often ended at the feet of Simpson or Lovenkrands.

Aye i thought he was one of our better players. I like him but still would get Tiote in the side as soon as he's fit; he's a better player and better for the midfield dynamic. At the moment we're playing with two box-to-boxers, whereas i think we're better with a more specialised AM/DM system.

 I really like Guthers, but him and Cabaye just isn't the best option for the team. I'm actually quite interested to see Danny and Tiote line up together and see how they do.

I wouldn't be dropping Guthrie even with Tiote back, he's simply playing too well.

Drop Cabaye? Weaker of the two right now. Could stick Guthrie out wide, not natural but it at least gets Obertan out of the line-up, medium sized mercy.

I'm not too concerned about Tiote tbh. Guthrie and Cabaye will struggle to match the best teams because those sides have a lot of power and pace through the middle and you need Tiote against them. But we've played them now and the Guthrie/Cabaye is more than good enough to twank the rest of the premier's midfields.

Very impressed with him, but that's madness.

What's madness? Not dropping a player who's playing well?

Are you saying you wouldn't bring Tiote back in or you'd drop someone else instead? If so, surely not Cabaye.

It would be harsh on Danny, but he's not capable of offering what Tiote does.

The biggest compliment i can pay Guthrie is that i can't tell the difference between him and Cabaye when they are on the ball.

In fact i can pay a bigger compliment, he's playing better than Cabaye. Mind you i have always rated him as an excellent technician, his engine is what has let him down in the past, perhaps playing with a more energetic midfield he is finding it easier i.e not playing alongside Nolan.

Guthrie is useless out wide as we've seen many times, Marveaux getting injured is a bastard for us.
