Guest johnson293
Here's one I didn't expect to be putting on the list..... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/todays-evening-chronicle/2009/10/01/david-gest-and-rob-lee-raise-charity-cash-72703-24828060/ THEIRS is a friendship which has fascinated Tyneside. Now Rob Lee and David Gest have revealed how the pair became pals. Toon fan David bumped into the former Newcastle midfielder after watching a game at St James’s Park and invited the player out for dinner. The following evening they headed-out as part of a group of 20, and hit it off. They have kept their vow to stay in touch ever since.

Guest johnson293
David said: “I just ran into Rob after the game and invited him for dinner. We got together and we’ve been friends ever since. “I love Newcastle, I’ve been coming here for years. “I’ve always loved it, the people are great and I love the team, Newcastle United. I know they’ve had a tough time, but there are changes coming. I can feel it.” He then hinted: “There could be plans for us to do something on TV together.” Maybe he is the US funding behind one of the bids!!! Seen him on China town on Monday in one of the restraunts. Few people tryingto take photos of him through the window, he invited them all in and got in photos with them. indi
We've had an American President shouting "Howay the lads !" haven't we ? Yes, old King Peanut himself, Jimmy Carter.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DQD7LiUpi4 Is there some law that says that they have to have that podium? Do they lug it around everywhere with them or something, obviously they do, but it's a bit weird don't you think?

Guess I was wrong, he's from Consett, which if you are not from the region is probably more Newcastle Territory than Sunderland, at worse it's 50/50. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rowan_Atkinson Since I've never heard his name mentioned when it comes to the toon, I think it safe to assume he's one of those arty farty types that have no interest in "soccer".
