KK vindicated.

Was this ever in doubt?  i couldn't believe people were doubting the man and taking Ashley's side in this case.

There was a third side, the club itself, which some people felt more important than either Keegan or Ashley. It's hard to understand I know, everything has to be black and white for some.

oh hes found an escape route for the Ashley bummers ;D ;D

I'm happy its over for the club. I'm happy the amount was minimal. I'm hoping that we can now sell the club without this over our head.

You are happy that KK was right. Well done.

Unless you're Keegan, that is: in which case you've been accused from all sides of being a spineless dummy-chucker who eats babies for supper.

I think I'm missing your point, what does the fact that KK's been attacked a lot over the last few months have to do with the fact that the club should be before any legal squabbles?

So it turns out that he did try and get £25m...

Damn right......should take Newcastle United for as much as possible...... start high in a tribunral!

Fixed your post.

Couldnt care less, NUFC will still be there, long after ashley of KK. What exactley should  keegan have done then?

I'm not going to get into what I think he should have done.  Because firstly I'm still not even sure what he did go for and how serious he was about the £25m and secondly I wasn't aiming my post at Keegan.  I was just trying to point out to you that Ashley isn't the one who would have been lumbered with the £25m fee.

From a fan's perspective, aye, but people who claim KK shouldn't have gone through with the case for the club's benefit are living on the fucking moon.

Agreed.  Although I think those using that argument are merely attempting to save face.

Well then I'll have to disagree. Think he should have put the club first, especially in the state we're in. Either way it's over now, would be nice if we can all just put this all behind us and concentrate on getting promoted.

FWIW, a price of £2m seems reasonable in order to discover the truth.

Aye I have no problem with him getting £2m, just the fact that he supposedly went for £25m that doesn't sit right with me. Could have really screwed us over had it gone through.

Pff... What's £25m? Enough to buy 4 or 5 S. American players no one's ever fucking seen. :p

Shearer loves the club, should he have worked for free to stop the club going down? Should Taylor be working for free to take us back up? It'd be nice, but it's a mental idea to think it could happen. OK was fucked over, the fact the club were in a bad state doesn't lessen his entitlement.

Shearer and Taylor aren't trying to get £25million in one go. Club being in a bad state doesn't lessen his entitlement, which is why I'm happy with him getting the £2m he deserves.

It is remarkable that some people have are all over the £25 million thing. Are people so glum not to realise that TEAM ASHLEY knew what was coming, so Lambias leaked the story of the club going into administration if KK had of got all the figures mentioned in the claim. Our chief creditor is Ashley himself what is going to do appoint administrators who then pay him 10p in the £ ;D . As the report makes clear these people will do things that are "nothing more than an exercise in public relations"

I find it interesting that Keegan denied seeking 25M in compensation and yet the ruling states that he did, although it was not awarded.

Has he denied it?

Just read through bits and bobs of it and have a question (baring in mind i don't really know how it all works):

If Keegan was right all along and has won his case, why did he not win the alleged £9/10m he was after, but a mere £2m?

Because he was claiming for his wages until he was 65, and he was claiming for 'stigma damages' and I'm pretty sure he claimed a little extra to pay for a PS3, as he had nowt to do since they totally sacked him.

There is fella in here Quayside who has posted why the claim would be so high, check it out.

I wonder what that arsehole David Craig is about to peddle then.

It's all based around the 25m. Same with SSN's coverage. Trying to keep their 'sources' happy.

He had a clause in his contract which stated that he'd be entitled to 2m if sacked, regardless when/how.

He challenged that clause, the tribunal rejected his claim.

All that clown mentions his Keegan wanting 25million.

Where has all the talk of Keegan wanting Henry, Lampard and being mentally unstable gone, surely that should have been part of their defence.
