We had a habit of kicking the ball straight out of play from kickoff for a while in the late 90's. Always thought it was some kind of betting scam

nah, for a while we were just crap.

We did that stupid kick-off under Robson, makes complete sense now.

Don't remember that?

Wtf is Lundekvam doing coming out with all of this, the numpty?

Also, do the big betting sites do markets on stuff like first throw in?  Seems ridiculously open to abuse, more so than results, goalscorers, most corners and the like.  Suppose you can get markets on individual players getting booked I think, which is probably equally open to abuse.

We used to hoof the ball into the corner straight from kick off for the opposition to take a throw in near their own byline iirc.

Yeah. Made a good few quid on the 'next throw in' market. It's almost instant-money / money-loss

.

Ah fucking hell aye. :undecided: That little 'tactic' was so infuriatingly senseless, that it actually sounds remotely plausible we could've been involved.

Was always quite funny when we lined up Shearer and Speed by the sideline for them to run up the line to challenge for the ball floated over by Nobby.  Good times...

I'm sure SkyBet had markets available for the last Wrestlemania, which seemed ridiculous.

Paddy Power did too - I had a £20 double on us beating Liverpool and The Rock to beat John Cena

Guest Roger Kint

Steve Cotterill leaves Nottingham Forest

Sadly predictable. Cue big name manager coming in and a Leicester like season this year.
