Current Premier League players whose names start with four consonants? For example Hyypia would have been one.

Answers:

Mark SCHWarzer (Fulham)

Yacouba SYLLa (Aston Villa)

Gareth MCCLeary (Reading)

James MCCLean (Sunderland)

Wojciech SZCZesny (Arsenal)

Martin SKRTel (Liverpool)

If anyone can think of any that aren't on that list then well played.

Y is a consonant in English? Mind blown.

I thought Y was a vowel.

[edit] Ah, so it can be either a vowel or a consonant. Not sure it would be a consonant in these names though.

It's a sneaky bastard, which sometimes pretends it's a vowel. You guys are brave people learning how complicated language.

66% - Of all players to play 20+ times for Newcastle in the PL, Scott Sellars has the best win percentage (P47 W31). Tricky

Yet Pardew hasn't played him once. Sums him up, for me. #clueless

Interview with zlatan in shortlist this week.

Q: the worst thing about training?

A: I score some great goals in training. The 4th goal I scored against England had people saying it was footballs greatest goal ever, but the truth is that it is not even the greatest goal I have ever scored. If you see some of the goals I have scored in training and some of the things I had done you would not believe it.

These stories never make sense to me.

At age 40 he was claiming to be 28. Did he just not play until he was 30? Or play at a level so low it was never registered? How comes he became so good when most other players careers start to decline? There are late starters but it seems odd a player would be better at 40 than they were at 25, 27 etc.. when they are supposed to be at their peak? :dontknow:

Would love to see top players in games that don't really matter and they can do whatever the hell they like with no consequences. Seeing players warming up on the pitch can be pretty cool at times but to see a full 90 minutes of no pressure, mess about football would be great.

Isn't that what International friendlies are supposed to be? :yao:

One of the greatest tragedies about sport in general is that the pressure and money takes away so much from the game itself.
