2011/12 fixtures out Friday 17th June.

I always imagine that Dave spends 11 months of the year preparing his battle station for this. WE ARE AT AMBER ALERT!

First match is Man United (a), Sunderland in November & April, Wigan (a) on Boxing Day and a difficult away day to end the season. Probably.

Chelsea or Everton last game of the season!

Lots of stories on twitter we have been sold

Love Twitter, Me. Remember when we started the rumour that Jurgan Klinsmann was going to be our manager via Twitter?

NUFC Sold??

Mike Ashley has sold Newcastle United for a figure believed to be over £250 million....

Before, we get ahead of ourselves and check every news site on the internet for confirmation, the sentence is made up, although if rumour is to be believed, this summer is the climax of Mr Ashley's time in Toon.. with yet another bit of inside info reaching us here at Talk of the Tyne of an impending sale within the next fortnight..

Ashley's time at the club has been controversial to say the least and if anything he has stabilized the finances here but very little else in my opinion. His presence as owner here has split fans down the middle with a lot making their feelings known in a way of boycotting the ground or anything else that he owns or runs. Decisions have been amateurish or laughable at times and the end cannot come quick enough for a lot of people.. Hopefully this is soon with the countdown beginning now to his demise.

The signs are there with little bits of media attention now and then, including a Sunday Mirror exclusive quite recent. The usual names are mentioned with Anil Ambani the frontrunner.... We wait with baited breath........

We are no mugs on this forum and take every bit of gossip with a pinch of salt and we have brought the football world many exclusives, including the famous 'Ben Arfa in Newcastle' story which every media outlet used as their cast off story plus many more. So watch this space for further developments courtesy of our dedicated contributors with their eyes and ears on the ground..

oin us at Talk of the Tyne for serious NUFC chat and some lighthearted stuff but most of all the passionate support of the club we love.

PREMIER LEAGUE clubs will receive record sums in TV money this season - with the champions picking up more than £57million and the bottom side at least £37m.

New overseas television deals have doubled from £625m during 2007-10 to £1.2billion over the next three seasons.

That sum is about 10 times the amount Germany's Bundesliga receives, five times what Italy's Serie A collects and three times what Spain's La Liga earns.

Mind boggling amounts that man, how big is the PL outside the uk exactly?

Usually around 10 matches a week on here in the States.  We get two/three live on Saturday, two (if there are that many) live on Sunday, then we get all of the weeknight (Mon/Tue) matches live as well.  Then they will also show tape delays of matches that were played when more "marquee" matches were on earlier in the day.

I Norway its crazy. Almost all matches on TV, all available for streaming on net.

On average i do believe that we are the country with biggest interest in PL outside the  UK.

All straight men between 10-75years do have some kind of relation to the PL.

Noel Gallagher, total legend:

IT has been a while since NOEL GALLAGHER served up one of his razor-sharp verbal volleys.

But GARY NEVILLE is just the kind of comedy character to spark the full force of a Scud missile from the former OASIS hero.

Earlier this week Gary took the liberty of quoting Noel's classic track Fade Away on Twitter after Manchester United all but wrapped up the Premier League title.

He wrote: "'While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away.' Not if you support United!"

Like little Gary playing the offside trap, it has gone pear-shaped.

Here is Manchester City fanatic Mr N Gallagher's response:

"I feel violated. If Mr Neville continues to use the holy scriptures of Oasis to communicate with the Cockney massive, I shall be forced to come up to Cheshire in the middle of the night, break into his house, tie him to a chair, make him listen to the Best Of Simply d(Red)ful while I pull his tash out one grey hair at a time (with my teeth), liberate those Oasis CDs and s*** in his manbag. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..."

The veteran Reds defender and former England misery-guts - who retired this season - once sent Noel a guitar to sign as a little birthday treat to himself.

It came back with the affectionate marker pen message: "Happy Birthday knobhead. MCFC x.

All games shown live over here. The BPL is undoubtedly big in Asia. The La Liga and Serie A are not as strong comparatively, and their insane broadcast hours do not help either.
