Btw we all should issue all our best wishes to the Newcastle legend who celebrates his birthday today: Xisco.  :lol:

He's just not on Xisco's level. Well, nobody is.

If this lad could of stayed fit.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jonathan Woodgate will return to White Hart Lane this week for an assessment on his long-term groin injury, according to the News of the World.

Having made just three appearances last season, the former England international has been to see specialists around the world in a bid to cure his long-standing injury problems.

The 30-year-old has been to America and had treatment in Australia under an extensive treatment programme, something which has not seen him feature for Spurs' since their 9-1 win over Wigan Athletic last November.

Manager Harry Redknapp fears Woodgate will struggle to ever recover fully from his injuries and wants a full report on his fitness before the squad report back for pre-season training on July 5.

Woodgate had been due to start contract talks at the start of last season, but due to fears over his injury woes they were shelved and will not continue until he has proved his full fitness.

Fears are beginning to increase that the former Leeds United and Middlesbrough defender will fail to recover from this latest setback, although Redknapp is still hopeful the assessment will be positive.

What with Platini and co. waiting to prove a point in regards to football finances how come no one mentions Barcelona's debts.

Their debts rose to €320 million in the latest accounts. Can't be good, even for such a huge club?

Most of that debt comes from the mismanagement during the Gaspart era in 2000-2004. We went from no debt to €200m in that time iirc.

True that Laporta has been spending freely as of late, however, Rosell has openly said he's going to be more conservative.

Police Seize World Cup Made Of Cocaine

http://news.sky.com/sky-news/content/StaticFile/jpg/2010/Jul/Week1/15659038.jpg

Police in Colombia have seized a replica World Cup trophy - made from 11 kilos of cocaine.

The statue - complete with engravings and painted decorations - was discovered during a security check at Bogota airport.

It was made with cocaine mixed with a moulding agent, believed to be gasoline, and was bound for an address in the Spanish capital Madrid.

It was found in a mail warehouse.

Anti-drug chief Colonel Jose Piedrahita said the 14in high replica was packed inside a box and was painted gold with green stripes on the base.

Col Piedrahita said that laboratory tests confirmed the cup was made of 11 kilos (24 pounds) of the class A drug.

Police are currently questioning this man:

David Ginola has threatened to sue Gerard Houllier after the former France manager once again blamed him for Les Bleus' failure to qualify for the 1994 World Cup.

Ginola became the scapegoat after a cross in the last qualifying match against Bulgaria was too long and their opponents broke to score a shock winner.

Houllier, who was France coach at the time, placed the blame squarely at Ginola's feet and has reiterated that several times, including in a television show broadcast at the beginning of this month.

And the former Tottenham winger has had enough.

"In 2010, 17 years after, when I see the same person go on television and talk about this event where they treated me like a criminal for too long a cross, I'm sorry, I find this over the top," Ginola told L'Equipe.

"It's enough! Until my death they are going to talk to me about this!

"If at the time Gerard Houllier hadn't said these type of things, they wouldn't talk to me about this now.

"It affects my personal life, my children, it affects a lot of things, it's intolerable.

"Now, it's enough. I'm so sick of it...I have decided to press charges."

What a twat Houllier is. Ginola wasn't even fully responsible for that goal, never mind the whole qualifying campaign. And it was 17 years ago.

“One of the highlights for me last season was Newcastle coming back up because, when I left, the club was really down and I didn’t feel great about myself.

“I know a lot of good people up there so it was great to see them coming back up. I think they’ll be alright as there are quite a few teams in the Premier League now who you’d say could struggle next year.

“So, if they can make St James’ Park as tough a place to go to as it used to be, I think they’ll do well.”

Too right.

Sounds like a test tube job to me.

If the mother is out there & had a fumble with Ronaldo then this bird could make mega ££££'s.

She's probably paid off and tied up by a million NDA's to be frank.

Hopefully Cronaldo will end up as nuts as Michael Jackson, minus the kiddie fiddling part of course.
