Guest Heneage
This 25 man squad thing is a bit stupid imo That celebration is absolutely fantastic too! Why? it means that teams like city, can't have 40-45 players on their books True. But it could also really fuck a lot of the younger players over, meaning they have to find a loan deal or sit in the reserves.

Surely they'd be more likely to play as under-21's don't need to be registered.

They won't even be given a chance to play, even if the chance came because of injuries to other players.

Published: 1:30PM BST 27 Jul 2010 He claims that the octopus is a symbol of decadence and decay among "his enemies". Paul, who lives at the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre, in Germany, won the hearts of the Spanish by predicting their World Cup victory. He became an international star after predicting the outcome of all seven German World Cup matches accurately. However, the Iranian president accused the octopus of spreading "western propaganda and superstition." Paul was mentioned by Mr Ahmadinejad on various occasions during a speech in Tehran at the weekend. "Those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire, like Iran, to human perfection, basing themselves in the love of all sacred values," he said. Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Nowt better to do with his time than to pick on an octupus. Roy Keane is such a wanker. Tooj
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11979_6280116,00.html Look at that ffs. That reserve side would be in the top 8 easily, not to mention they will be adding to that squad and more top players will make that "Can't make either side" section. Hughes wasted an awful lot of money.
Pilko
I think Hughes was given £60m and told to go in the soft play with all the other simpletons whilst the top brass went off jet-setting around for Kaka, Messi etc. Shit policy really was he just bought loads of third-level players for inflated prices, and they didn't get any top echelon players (I don't consider Robinho to be one fwiw). Financial turmoil, no goalkeeper, and only 11 of their massive squad of 14 players expected to be with the team for the opening match and they're third favorites for relegation? Just how shit are Barnsley and Scunthorpe?
Guest gggg
They've still got the basis of a decent championship team. Ashdown Wilson Mokoena Hreidarsson Smith Brown Mullins Hughes Webber Nugent A few loans and they'll be reet.

Just how shit are Barnsley and Scunthorpe? Scunny have lost Hooper and Hayes, as well as McCann and Williams. They've been replaced by players who have no championship experience. They're doomed. Segun Oluwaniyi
Kevin Nolan corollary. A player with superior techical abilities and quickly diminshing/diminished physical attributes will succeed in the Championship where everything is much slower and there is more space.
