Ankle-height kung-fu kick. Ouch.

Search "Hard tackle on Clement (Eysseric broke his leg)"

Palnese will be here in a bit to say it was a yellow at most.

Ouch. Red is alright.

Nice to see that he is sticking around and not immediately trying to move on to bigger things. It will be interesting to see if he can build them into a regular top half of the league club, though balancing Europe next year might be a challenge.

It's a one-year extension though. I can still see him leaving for another club in the near future.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored again last night which makes it 7 consecutive matches (9 goals) he has scored in since ending his goal drought, and a total of 15 goals, 11 assists in 26 games this season so far.

Get your checkbook out, Mike!

Nice midfielder Eysseric suspended for 11 games for a dangerous tackle on St Etienne's Clement - must have been a hell of a tackle! Anyone see it?

Absolutely horrific challenge.

Arsenal fan charged with throwing a banana at Gareth Bale.

He is charged with throwing a missile on to the playing area, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Could have killed Bale or caused him severe distress.

Bonkers! Non league game abandoned after Wingate see red... FIVE times

A non-league match was abandoned due to red cards meaning one side did not have enough players to complete the game.

Wingate & Finchley had five players sent off in their Ryman Premier League tie with Thurrock meaning the game had to be called off, as teams are not allowed less than seven players on the pitch.

With Thurrock leading the hosts 1-0, Wingate saw the red card come out for a fifth time in the 85th minute to see the match called to a halt at the Harry Abrahams Stadium.

With the game goalless at half-time, Wingate defender Ahmet Rifat was shown red for retaliation soon after the break, claiming he had been punched.

The game turned on its head when Wingate's second yellow for Osa Obamwonyi for committing the foul that led to the penalty.

Thurrock’s ex-Tottenham youngster Stuart Thurgood converted from the spot to give his side the lead, and Wingate’s misery was compounded in the 72nd minute when Ronayne Marsh-Brown was dismissed.

Just four minutes later midfielder John Christian saw a second yellow to put Wingate down to seven men for kicking the ball away, an act many spectators thought was an effort to get the match abandoned, before the final blow was dealt five minutes from time.

The match was a crucial one in the fight against relegation from the Ryman Premier League, and an FA inquiry is now likely.

Thurrock secretary Mark Southgate said he doesn't think a replay is the answer.

He said: 'You have to feel sorry for the backroom people at Wingate who are really nice and they must have been embarrassed as their

players and the club management just seemed to lose it.

'No doubt there will be an FA investigation but I can't see us having to come back here to replay this.

The game was designated as a ‘Kick it Out’ game which saw the anti-racism group hand out promotional material, and all mothers were admitted free to celebrate Mothers’ Day.

Love one of the comments:

A lot of people didn't know about this rule until they had a very rough game on FIFA

That's how I learnt about the rule as a kid.
