Yeah they got it.

bastards.  Was laughing for a good 5 minutes solid when I read it, as were most people around us.

Aye, pitty they got it. In the end though once the police came over we had no chance.

That was mad, the stewards were off their heads trying to remove it and could have easily turned things nasty, me and the bairn were bad laughing when the tug of war started.

Took a while to get it right as it was upside down and back to front for sometime, but when they got it did and we read it we were all decked lol.

A few pics I managed to get of the protests:

Unfortunately we went into the ground soon after since our kid was dying for a piss. Apparently it got bigger closer to kick off.

The protests after the game was full of chavs

"Stand up for St james Park" then "Sit down for St James Park" obviously something they have learnt while at school this year.

Yeah. The first few came directly towards me and started pulling it out my hands, then some massive toon fan at the other side started just pulling it in towards him so I let go, he managed to get most of it despite a good 2/3 stewards trying their best. But then more 'stewards' came up and it was a massive free for all, people flying about all over the shop. It was chaos for a good few mins up untill the police came up, at which point they got a hold of the banner and people started making their way down the L7 stairs to protest at the reception.

Ironic that people have said we need to do something to stop other fans laughing at us and calling us pathetic and then come up with something as crass as that.

I’d imagine other fans will be laughing with us on this one.

I had a bit of warning about that banner as we had a few lads round before the game and they mentioned it. One of them was someone who's worked at the club but don't know who'd told him about it. Not the best wording in the world like, but better than nowt.

Didn't really hang around for long after.   Sang a couple of songs but then headed to the pub. Fair play to those who stayed.

Good on everyone who had banners and protested before and after the game IMO.

Agreed

The 'Rapist' bit is right on the edge, however, the fact he has fucked us up the arse without our consent probably warrants the language
