Jordan
i think he'll be good for rest of this season then good back up next season
Shearergol
He'd be good backup unless we win promotion.
Rocker
I think he's a decent player. Good going forward, not bad at the back, plays with passion and looks like he's enjoying every minute.
BlueStar
Been impressed with his attitude, he'd be useful in the prmotion fight.

This. Get him in on a permenant deal. Good first choice this season and, if we go up, a good back up next season.
Newcastle Fan
He's young and decent, if Man Utd don't ask much for him then why not.
junkhead
I really hope we sign him.. He can be a bit shaky at times, like against Sheffield, but overall he's done well so far.. even at CB.. can't see us getting anyone better at this time

They will probably want some money in January though as hes under 24 and compo would be due.

TRon
Better than Stephen Carr That's pretty much how I would look at this. Simpson is a long way from being the type of full back the better premier teams would go for as he's not pretty cautious going forwards ( compare him to Enrique for example). But I really like him because he's a good defender, relatively mobile and has a great attitude. Like Danny Guthrie, he might not pull up any trees but he's a quality young squad player who will be good value for money. Great signing IMO.
Cajun
Do people really think we will be going on a spending spree in the summer? If we do sign him I doubt it will be as back up next season.

Calling him a "great signing" is a bit much though.

I did explain that he's young and will be fairly good value for money as well, for us that's a great signing.
Jill
I'd take him. He's decent, and seems to have settled in well. Good backup if we get promoted too.

Nobody
I'd be happy enough with him as our RB, even in the premiership.
cubaricho
Good. Would be happy to have him on board. Will be a great signing to help us go up and also to be our RB for the first few years of being back in the Prem when we will be in serious need of some rebuilding. Has a great attitude and will do a job for us.

AyeDubbleYoo
He would be a good signing for not much money, any decent player we can get relatively cheap is a good thing at the moment.
