The FA Cup 2009/10 - NUFC get Plymouth (a) in the third round

I'd love to get Sunderland home or away, but we'd get pretty much humiliated, even if they don't start a first choice team.

Do you honestly believe that?  Sunderland are a mediocre team with 2 or 3 class players. Defensively they are not strong.  IHaving watched you lot numerously this season (thanks Sky and BBC!) i reckon you would match them and on a good day could beat the mackem scum.

How about Millwall away? :)

wouldn't bother me.  Can easily get the train from Abbey Wood (near where me Auntie lives) to Deptford (think thats near the New Den)

I was thinkin' about their mad supporters, my mate is a Leeds fan and went there last season, he says it's absolutely madness down there...

Would love Millwall or Staines away as I'll in London then

Staines away. God no. I already go there once a year as it is, and that's enough. Plus there would only be enough room for about 1000 of us. Would end up being played at Brentford probably.

I'd say a nice easy home draw against somebody rubbish, or an away game where there is enough room for us to take a decent following.

Couldn't care less this year, play the kids.

Really sad to see some Newcastle fans have this attitude

For me a good cup run or a good cup game is far more exciting than a run of the mill league game.

The FA Cup is a great cup competition and I will be furious if Houghton plays a weakened team. I would expect him to play our strongest possible line up, anything less is in my opinion a disgrace.

Newcastle have a great cup tradition, lets keep it going

I hope we draw Man U away.

We don't want to be f***ing around in the Cup when more important matters are at hand. Think of Sholas injury v Huddersfield.

Knowing us we'd go there and scrape a 1-0 against their under 15s team, with Nolan and Taylor  both going off with 6 month injuries.

It's so important that we go up this year that I hope we give a few kids a run out irrespective of who we draw. We aren't going to win it and the more games we play in it, the more tired we'll get and the more injuries and suspensions we'll pick up. Not saying I want us to lose (I'd never want that) but I won't be particularly bothered if we do go out early on. Let's win the fucking division first, eh? :)

Cardiff nearly won it a couple of years ago.

Just goes to show that with the right luck, anything can happen. I don't think we can win it, but it'd be nice to have a good cup run.

Play the likes of LuaLua, Krul and Kadar mixed in with the likes of Ranger and Pancrate. Keep Harper, Taylor, Enrique and Nolan out and we should still be ok.
