Newcastle Fan
Didn't think that this thread will be about Bale vs Simpson but since i'm here i have to say i'm really impressed by Simpson since he returned, i guess its because we had that useless tit Perch at right back and he wasn't even a right back. Stu
Danny Simpson was brilliant yesterday, Steven Taylor has never played that well at right back, don't see how people are expecting him to either. Nah, he's like a white Cafu
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Danny Simpson just needs to watch his Andy Griffin Man-Marking tapes and he'll settle Bale down within the first 10 minutes with a ball winning tackle that racks the inside ankle of Bale. steve_69
Bale tore Maicon a new hole yesterday so I don't think there's any shame in Simpson getting bummed by him.
David28
Who cares about Bale btw? We'll win (3-1) against Spurs, anyway.
Dan Gleebals
Bale was absolute class last night, dont think many players would have lived with that, Simpson included.
KaKa
Rafa is a stubborn old billy goat. Should have doubled up on Bale and stifled him, but again continuously left Maicon one on one with him. Foolishness. Hughton I doubt will allow the same to happen.
wormy
Hughton > Benitez
Village Idiot
To be honest, Bale hasn't destroyed that many PL rightbacks this season, his form has been mostly against Inter de Milan in the CL.
Nobody
Just watched the game from Sunday again, he barely put a foot wrong. Not his biggest fan, but he was terrific, made some important blocks and linked well with Barton. Terrific cross for the fourth as well, obviously. Will certainly give him another chance in the Premiership.
Cajun
I told you he was getting better whilst out injured
Guest firetotheworks
He's had a few very good games for us. Keep it up and I might have to eat and then puke up some humble pie.
oldtype
Should be singled out for arguably being the best player in an outstanding defensive line today. I didn't think it was possible but he's raised his game to the Premiership.
jdckelly
epic display from him defensivly, if he keeps this up capello will come knocking considering the derth of decent english rbs

Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I thought he was very very good today. Coped very well with the threat and cut out a number of their chances. Excellent.

Couldn't agree more. I've been bigging Steven Taylor up as our right back, but Simpson was immense today.
