Skirge
Am waiting for more info that what can be sent in a text, these fkn nurses have no right to work 16 hour shifts when we are waiting for news. NEWCASTLE United are hopeful they will be able to announce their first signing of the January transfer window in just a few days as Chris Hughton insisted he is confident he will get his number one targets this month. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2010/01/01/hughton-i-ll-get-number-one-targets-61634-25503745/
Guest Slippery Sam
Giving a medical to a footballer who will be playing for another club this weekend (thereby increasing his chances of injury)? Utter baubles.
Cajun
That's what I though, if he plays then surely the medical is pointless?
Jayson
Only normal teams would avoid giving a player a medical before hes about to play another game, we're Newcastle It all makes perfect sense

Guest toonlass
Odds are now 4/6 to join. Does that mean the bookies think its likely to happen?
Guest
Odds are now 4/6 to join. Does that mean the bookies think its likely to happen? Yep. Basically, if you put £10 on him to join us, you'll win £6.66, if you put £10 on him to stay at Leeds, you win £10.
Mowen
Odds are now 4/6 to join. Does that mean the bookies think its likely to happen? More than anything it means a lot of people have been betting on it. Bookies change their odds according to their liability rather than the likelihood of it happening, although these two things are usually closely linked. Guest Stephen927
Interested to see how Beckford does tomorrow against a centre back pairing of Vidic and Brown.
khay
Interested to see how Beckford does tomorrow against a centre back pairing of Vidic and Brown. See how the rest of his team does as well to provide him with the chances.
Guest Stephen927
Interested to see how Beckford does tomorrow against a centre back pairing of Vidic and Brown. See how the rest of his team does as well to provide him with the chances. True. Leeds are 15 games unbeaten so chances will probably be few and fair between, the onus will be on him and Becchio to engineer some chances on their own. TRon
Interested to see how Beckford does tomorrow against a centre back pairing of Vidic and Brown. Hopefully he'll have a shit game and won't attract any attention.
Dr.Spaceman
Tony Cottee on SSN now fighting his corner, with Merson in the other saying he should stay at Leeds.
Guest Stephen927
Paul Merson saying he would buy Beckford for Arsenal as Arsenal make 25 chances a game and so Beckford shouldn't move here as we don't create the chances for Beckford. Back on the sauce, Paul?
Dr.Spaceman
Makes perfect sense iyam.
Guest Stephen927
If you put Bendtner in that Leeds team in League One he would score the same if not more than Beckford does now.
Skirge
Point is at that price he is worth the punt.
Pilko
Point is at that price he is worth the punt. Any updates?
Guest Stephen927
It just isn't as simple as that. You still have to have good awareness, good technique and the composure to put it away.
TaylorJ_01
Probably been said but Boyd scored 5 goals in a match last week. No doubt he'd be great in the championship, not sure about the Premiership though...
Guest
Only 1 of his goals has came against Celtic.
Skirge
Point is at that price he is worth the punt. Any updates? No not a thing.... about the medical but as far as deal being done he still swaers its all tied up.
Heron
Beckford will be signing for us next Friday, I have it on good authority.
Skirge
Think we are giving Leeds time to repace him, once its known Beckford has left them other clubs will know they are desperate.
madras
Giving a medical to a footballer who will be playing for another club this weekend (thereby increasing his chances of injury)? Utter baubles. wrong. the majority of the medical focuses on cardio vascular stuff etc for heart problems etc. thats why many clubs sign players who have current injury problems ie minor broken bones. still why not have a dig at nufc for doing what everyone else does eh ? interesting to see if he plays this weekend.
