Guest palnese
Can't wait to see him gone. I'd much rather have Streete, or another kid, as 4th choice CB.
Guest neesy111
He'll be 3rd choice when Taylor gets injured again anycase.
Smal
I'm still of the opinion he can do a job as 4th choice, how many games did he play last season when we had many good defensive performances? He is nowhere near as bad as portrayed tbh, clearly not good enough to be a first choice but as 4th he is just fine. He was costing us nearly a goal a game through individual errors. He's been really, really bad this season.
SiLvOR
Reading was where I lost my shit with him totally. That fucking first goal man. Christ sake.
Mick
“I’ve now got the luxury of having four centre-halves, three of whom are really playing well. The other guy (Mike Williamson) isn’t really going to get a chance now because the other three are playing so well “I don’t see any problem, if say, Colo (Fabricio Coloccini, Newcastle’s captain) got injured, because I could play the other two. I’ll put them all in the frame, but category one is our captain.” Read more: Journal Live http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2013/02/23/alan-pardew-magpies-stronger-for-trip-to-ukraine-61634-32864262/#ixzz2LidUQPmg They are disgusting comments which didn't need saying, the blokes a prick. Williamson isn't the best player, none of us need reminding of that, I'm sure Williamson doesn't need reminding either. Having said that, he's played loads of games for us when we needed him and Pardew shouldn't be saying things like that to the press.

Agree , Williamson has always given 100% and despite costing us due to his lack of ability at the level he is playing, shouldn't be treated in this manner. Newcastle Fan
He's been fucking shit on most occasions, no sympathy for him whatsoever, hope he leaves for a league 1 club because that's about his level.
Zach
That's a really poor thing to say from Pardew. It doesn't matter how bad he is its Pardew's job to big him up. Apart from telling Williamson he's shit he's told the 3 we have that if we have an injury they are guaranteed a place. Great man management.

Guest
I could imagine what the reaction would have been as well if he'd said, "I wouldn't have a problem playing any of the other three". People would still whine about something about the quotes along the lines of he still rates Williamson. He hasn't criticised Williamson at all, he's just bigged up the other two's form. No more, no less. That's how I see it anyway.

No matter how s*** a player is, the manager has to put belief in his players. He's had similar digs at Simpson and they've both served him well, especially last season. Poor from Pardew. Dokko
I have absolutely no problem in him saying this. He's let us down too many times, he needs to know he's now emergency cover for the bench and if he has a problem with that he can start looking for a new club any time soon. We need to move away from this standard of player, he has his chances and blew them all and his mental weakness is a major factor in where we are now. Unbelievable
"The other guy". I reckon those three words are the only reason why some on here are getting their panties in a twist. Replace that by "Mike" and there's absolutely nothing wrong with what he's said. All a bit pathetic really.
