NewJerseyMag
Another clean sheet for this clown then. He's a strange player. Plays some blinders than has a mare here and there, usually to a pacy striker. Always bounces back though, so credit to him, he doesnt hide thats for sure.

Beren
Beasted Drogba. Good performance. Hard working and committed as ever
Jagten
Someone must have a gif of his stepovers?!!?!?!!?!!!11111 That was magic. But credit where credit is due... Played well and great to have in the squad.
Jayson
Excelled in the air today, cleared loads of crosses. His weakness is on the ball, doesnt have much confidence there. Hes very solid back up for us though.
Sifu
Excellent today. Some phenomenal 1-on-1 tackles. And even some showboating. Couldn't believe my eyes when he tried to take the Chelsea player on. Did well but was ultimately unlucky in the end. The back 4 were brilliant tonight, everyone were proper rocks.
Guest optimistic nit
easily one of the best defensive performances of the season. we were defendign for most of the game, and chelsea who got 6 at qpr didn't make krul break a sweat. fantastic all round. Newcastle Fan
Class today, not often do i get to say that about him.
Pilko
He's prone to some poor performances but he always seems to recover to post some excellent showings, too.
Jordan
I'm a massive critic of his but he was fantastic tonight didn't put a foot wrong tonight. Well done Willo.
Geordie Ahmed
Thought he was a bit average first 10 mins, was worried he was going to have a mare BUT he was brilliant after that, won pretty much everything in the air and put some good tackles in
gazza ladra
Solid today.
Lotus
Thought he was a bit average first 10 mins, was worried he was going to have a mare BUT he was brilliant after that, won pretty much everything in the air and put some good tackles in Same. At the beginning i thought it was obvious he was gonna be the avenue their goals were going to come by. He got it together though. Although, to be fair, Chelsea's passing didn't exactly expose him. I thought Torres' movement was superb but the balls they were putting his way often gave Williamson (and the others) just that fraction of time to get better positioned for a tackle/interception/jump. buzza
Yep, I agree, Torres played very well last night but Chelsea's supply was pretty awful tbh. I would also say that our defense and midfield two played one of those games where they were all at 100%...makes a difference!
Tiresias
Bad as sturridge was Malouda was worse, totally anonymous apart from failing to score an easy one. Surprised Mata didn't come on for him.
henke
The only thing that really bothers me is when he trys to bring the ball out from the back, Colo-style. He attempted it a couple of times last night and just about got away with it. Just.
johnnypd
Bad as sturridge was Malouda was worse, totally anonymous apart from failing to score an easy one. Surprised Mata didn't come on for him. those two starting was when i started to believe we'd get something. good players (well, malouda used to be) but not right mentally. as if there's any argument between whether Malouda or Ben Arfa should make the French squad. colinmk
One of our best yesterday imo, another top performance against world class forwards.
Benwell Lad
One of our best yesterday imo, another top performance against world class forwards. Totally agree. If Willo is supposedly the weakness in our defence then things aren't too bad. He was excellent yesterday against simply world class opponents. Pilko
He's a good player, he's just horribly inconsistent and prone to the occasional mare of a game. He had a good spell when he came into the team and he's been good (Wigan off-day aside) pretty much since the Sunderland game too. Hope we keep him as a squad player. Whilst he shouldn't be first choice, if he plays 8-10 league games next season that's perfectly alright.
Darth Crooks
He's a brilliant stopper. Which is great. Just can't have to many of them in your back 4 without looking one dimensional. Bolster the full back position with someone with guile and intelligence and I'm more than happy to keep him in this stopper role. It works well amongst the right formula. Set Colo to ball-playing, Willo to stopper, Santon and new full back to full back with support, and we've got it made.
EthiGeordie
Off course we keep him he signed a five year contract in October 2011.
Guest ThievingMagpie
Perfect cover for us and would start at most sides below us. We need to keep players like him if we are to progress as a club.
