David28
Has anyone heard anything about Chelsea wanting Vanaanholt back after Ashley coles ankle break. Yes. As the article says, we won't have to send him back. http://www.jarrowandhebburngazette.com/latest-sport/No-Chelsea-recall-for-loan.6068249.jp No Chelsea recall for loan Van NEWCASTLE United won't have to send on-loan left-back Patrick Van Aanholt back to Chelsea – despite Ashley Cole suffering a broken ankle. There were concerns on Tyneside today that the Dutch youngster could be recalled by the Blues to cover for Cole, who is set to be out of action for three months after picking up the injury against Everton on Wednesday. Van Aanholt is on a month-long deal at St James's Park as cover for United's own injured left-back, Jose Enrique, and there is no recall option in the short-term loan. And Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has options at his disposal anyhow, with Yury Zhirkov comfortable at left-back, while Portugal international Paulo Ferreira can also play there, despite being signed as a right-back. Speaking about the situation, the Blues boss said: "We are very disappointed because he's a very important player for us. "Now we have to do our best to get him recovered quickly, although we have Yury, who is a fantastic full-back, so we can use him." Cole is almost certainly out for the remainder of the domestic season, and his place in Fabio Capello's England squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa – England open their campaign against the United States on June 12 – will depend on his rehabilitation programme. Ironically, Cole's injury will provide former Chelsea team-mate Wayne Bridge with the chance to become Capello's first-choice left-back. Bridge has been at the centre of a media storm involving his former Stamford Bridge team-mate John Terry in recent weeks. Terry was stripped of the England captaincy by Capello after allegations he had an affair with Bridge's ex-partner.

Today they are showing our game, They're always showing our match if it's on TV somewhere (BBC, SKY). They obviously can't show it on their stream when it's nowhere on live TV. David28
I think it's a good line-up. Jonas and Shola missing because of minor knocks according to nufc.co.uk... I only would have liked to see Williamson there instead of Hall.

Ashley17
Shola dead again? I miss him. Expecting some bullshit about Williamson "feeling it" having not played for 4 month and then playing a lot of games in quick succession for us.
Ashley17
That means United are likely to stick with their 4-4-2 formation. Coloccini is back from a two-game hamstring absence and partners Fitz Hall at the centre of the defence, Danny Simpson and Patrick van Aanholt occupying the full-back slots. Skipper Smith is restored to the starting line-up having came from the bench at Pride Park after a thigh layoff - Wayne Routledge, Danny Guthrie and Kevin Nolan complete the midfield. Lovenkrands, who has scored six times since the turn of the year, comes in to join Andy Carroll in attack. Jonas Gutierrez and Shola Ameobi both miss out because of minor knocks. KaKa
Think Williamson is just getting a rest. Has played every game since he came in despite being so inactive with Portsmouth. Probably a good idea to be honest.
