Much rather listen to stuff about other leagues or teams that I don't follow as closely. I find it more interesting to hear neutrals views on us as well. I don't bother with football podcasts at all these days. Mainly filled with smug bantz merchants with no value to add, and not putting my time to trying to discover if there are any good ones. Love listening to Spurs fans at the moment its top tier stuff. Liverpool is my favourite. Listening to their losing run, Isak injury etc then go back and listen to their entitlement, arrogance and excitement in the summer when they bid for Isak it’s glorious listening

ramirez
The strawberry corner/leazes one is decent but they’ve not done one for a bit. The retro true faith ones with Marc Corby were class.

I had a bash at podcasting a few years back and quickly learned that it wasn't for me because what I have to say cannot fill the minutes required to constitute meaningful content. "Everything's basically pretty good, isn't it?" I don't love the True Faith lot and feel like they talk quite a lot of shite quite a lot of the time, but I respect the effort to some extent. Then they’re trying to produce too much content. How often do they release an episode? There are probably 3 or 4 Spurs podcasts I give time to. The Athletic one (View From The Lane) is typically a couple of shows a week, Flav does two Fighting Cocks plus probably one of his serious ones (The Lab), and The Tottenham Way are a couple of journalists who do early post-match reviews. An Echo of Glory is weekly plus the occasional addition. Every week that’s 1.5 hours from the Athletic, 2 hours of down-the-pub banter from TFC, 30-60mins from TTW and an hour or so from EOG. Any one podcast trying to generate more than 2-3hrs of content weekly is on a fool’s errand. Edited January 13 by leffe186

Moose
For a fanbase our size, our podcast and YouTubers are the fucking pits. I often wonder if this is the trade off for being blessed with Frank Chippa.

Fak
The Italian Football Podcast was the only one I stuck with but like most, the pair of them have disappeared up their own arses. Neither presenter likes English football (which is fine), but their hatred for it is starting to consume more and more of each episode. There are others that have deeper tactical analysis/different fan perspectives etc but those three are really all I usually want - often more than I want tbh. We're probably lucky to have so many good/listenable ones, but that might be a function of club size, location, demographics? Dunno. Somebody once said (a couple of years back?) that your Athletic one wasn't very good and that they actually listened to ours. I feel like surely you guys have to have at least one decent journalistic one and one decent fan one? I know the cast makes a massive difference. Danny Kelly hosts ours and is annoying but a proper Spurs fan and a pro (for the most part). Charlie Eccleshare was worth the price of admission on his own and he's left now, which was a pity. I think Flav does a cracking job with TFC and a cast of mates. Surely there's a good host out there for you guys?

Caulkin doesn't do tactics or analytics or anything else for that matter and he's our main writer. Chris Waugh on the other hand does all of those things but often lacks insight and has his ass firmly splintered to the fence making it dreadfully boring to listen too. You will often see us make fun of our weekly deal sheet when the athletic do it because it's usually just a copy and paste job week in week out. Of all the super-doopa fan YouTube type podcasters, that have managed to make a bit of a name for themselves through getting on the Overlap and whatnot, I have to say Flav comes across as the most likeable (extremely low bar, granted). Mr Misery
Flav is also good on YouTube - JAFFN with James Alcott. I think Si and Ord(y) on True Faith are alright. Adam Cleary is excellent on tactics and would be good as a NUFC pod but he covers everything on ACFC...and there's maybe signs of a burgeoning ego there. Yeah I’ve got a lot of time for Flav. Seems to get the balance right - he’s proper Spurs but also just a football fan and interacts really well with other teams’ fans (as long as they’re not cunts). TFC is very much you and your mates down the pub talking shite but it’s funny (if you’re a Spurs fan), often insightful and well-edited. I don’t watch the Overlap or any of that stuff really but the clips I’ve seen make me glad he represents us. He seems adaptable enough to modulate his approach depending on the context while always coming across as genuine.
LaurentRobert
Gallowgate Shots live Monday show is always a great listen. They seem to be the most level-headed nufc podcasters imo. The Toon Review and Magpie Fan TV are far too ranty and histrionic after a couple of poor performances for my liking.

Moose
Apologies if this has been covered already in the thread but what's the consensus on the best Toon podcast? I've got a long drive coming up and I need to lock n load the playlist. I want a podcast that's just 3/4 guys shooting the shit about the footy like a bunch of pals down the pub, a bit of tactical insight wouldn't hurt as long as they don't go full spreadsheet shagger/pie chart nonce. Of course, the patter has to be great, no pishy middle class dad banter like Taylor Payne and George Caulkin On that note, don't recommend me Pod on the Tyne, I just can't do it lads, I just can't. Ideally they release episodes fairly regularly, 2-3 times a week. Thanks in advance.
